I had these at a Ramen place, holy crap they're good.
Wen't home and found them for sale on Amazon, lol Super simple to make, put them in a Tupperware or whatever and drizzle with an oil of your choice, I used avocado oil. HOT skillet, pot or even a grill, blister them to your liking. I prefer them slightly under cooked so that the pepper is firm. Don't crowd them, they have long stems and are hard to turn. Could clip them I guess

Plate and sprinkle with sea salt, lightly drizzle with mayo. I've also used honey mustard. Fantastic with grilled shrimp.

I've read they're a rather tame chili pepper on the Scoville scale. Every now and then you can get one with a bit of a kick.

NIce! From what I read seems like a pepper between a bell and jalapeño. I usually grow Jalapeños in the garden but Im going to give these a try this season, the stomach can't handle the hot stuff like it used to.

There are a few places around me that have them on the menu. I like them, but my wife is kinda iffy on them, so it’s usually a waste for me if it’s just the two of us. It’s a go-to with larger groups, though.

Hadn’t really thought about making them at home, but maybe I’ll see if any of the local grocery stores have them.

I like peppers and food in general for the flavor. I make lots of traditional Mexican food so all kinds of peppers in our home. These are not hot but have great flavor. Heat is wasted on me as you can't taste the food if its too hot.

These things are the bomb, I make them all the time. Heat then w/a olive oil, soy and sea salt yum...Not hot at all IMO, just ppp them in your mouth and enjoy. First time I ever had them was at a California Pizza Kitchen in Las Vegas as an appetizer, I have been enjoying them ever since. In my grocery store they come in a bag in the fresh veggie section.

I agree. I like to taste the flavor of a good pepper. Some are just too hot and kill the flavor of the dish. I personally like a balance of heat and flavor.

I would consider these to be like a small anaheim pepper

Anaheim chilis are among my favorites. I often like Serrano chilis because of the heat plus good flavor.

Its funny, I bought 2lbs of these and none had any heat to speak of, until today. I cooked them last night and put them in the fridge, today they have some heat, kinda nice.

    Not sure at this point.
Costco sells these bad boys once in awhile. Large tupperware size for about $5.

The farm my wife works at grows these - shishito "season" is our favorite - love the flavor without the bite. I slice into discs and discard the stems (keep the seeds) and saute in a hot skillet with butter and a light sprinkle of sea salt. Sometimes we'll also saute up yellow onion and garlic with them. Throw them on a steak, or along side some salmon. BAM!

That farm also has a few families in their CSA program that really like hot stuff, so they grow a few paper lanterns and ghost peppers too. I prefer flavor over flames (especially the flaming asshole I end up with the next day), so these are just fine for me.

That's what duct tape and ice cubes are for.

They were delicious! Great flavor and pleasantly about half of mine were adequately hot.

Always ordered at restaurants but tried making them for the first time at home and they turned out great. Super simple and just as good
