Hey Fellas what headlights are these please ?

I am trying to black out my 2018 Limited and saw these headlights and really like them on these OEM if so can anyone help me figure out the year and part number please. '

 

They are not OEM. Seen a few folks with those and they get decent reviews. Will try to find a link.

Edit: as posted below. They are the morimotos and have great reviews. I thought it was one of the cheaper aftermarket but I was thinking of other headlights.

 

Those are Morimoto XB led headlights. I have them on mine.

They have the white DRL like I have and they also have an Amber DRL. Headlight Revolution normally does 15% discounts around Black Friday, but they will still cost you $1200 - $1400 or so.

can you post broad daylight shots with the DRLs and amber turn signals? Curious how bright the are. I'm assuming the DRL's won't be as bright as OEM?

 

I'll get some more shots here shortly but they are brighter than OEM.

 

no rush man. just curious. I have the alpharex and hate how dim the DRL's are in broad daylight

 

The DRLs are extremely bright on mine. I could easily drive at night with just the DRLs on.

They are pretty bright at full power.

Sorry, that wasn’t clear. Yes, the I have the Morimotos. (White, not amber, DRLs). Very bright.

My brother in law has morimotos on his 2010 RW and the DRL are bright enough to drive at night if he wanted to, there so bright!

 

You could just get OEM TRD pro headlights if you’re just trying to go for the black housing and LED vs halogen lights…much more cost effective than the Morimotos…and still a significant improvement if yours aren’t the OEM led headlights.

Yes they have the level adjustment..
You'll need a wiring harness.
@iHacker makes a great harness, it is what I used..
Shoot him a PM and he will hook you up.

There are 3 different OEM LED headlights..
Make sure you get the TRD Pro blacked out headlights..

Way brighter and whiter light than the halogens..
And the hi beams are phenomenal.
Better cut off on the beams as well....

 

I kept the amber daytime DRLs..
I didn't like the bright white LED strips as DRLs.
Although I'm using 7440 amber LED bulbs in my amber DRL/turn signal..

So, bright amber DRLs during the day, my white LED strips come on the dim setting with the parking and headlights..

Read thru @iHacker thread and see what your options are.
What I wanted was plug and play keeping the amber day DRLs.
Some may differ, but one option is to have the white LED strips on bright all the time.
I think they are too bright at night for that.

Maybe a stupid question but I thought I'd ask before ordering. Did the OEM LED headlight come with the bulbs? If not what do you recommend? Planning on doing this to my 2016 DC. Thanks

 

OEM LEDs don't have bulbs for anything but the turn signal. The LEDs are all built into the housing.

 

I upgraded my 2021 oem halogen and fog lights to the oem trd pro headlights and fog lights. With the @iHacker harness. Awesome upgrade for sure!

the led headlights is one enclosed assembly and light system so (yes that is included), but the turn signal and orange side lights are Both still halogen bulbs. They are included but can be accessed and changed.

Keep in mind I have aftermarket VLED resistors installed to prevent turn signal hyper flash.
I have red LED turn signal bulbs in the rear as well.



The front amber 7440 LED bulbs were important to me because I retained my amber DRLs.
I also have Rigid POD fogs with amber LEDs that come on with the parking/headlights.

I don't like the bright white LED strips for DRLs.
But I do like the dim white LED strips for parking and headlights..

@iHacker hooked me up with a harness for what I wanted and it's perfect.

The amber DRL is actually dimmer than this with the lights on.
It's only this bright because I remote started the truck.
Once you put in in drive and release the brake, the amber DRLs are a little dimmer at night.

And the parking light is a halogen bulb.

 

Mine came on the truck so the function is different. Only the LED strips are DRL and parking lights. Retrofitting with the harness you can swap up functionality, but in the end the relevant info to OP was that the LEDs are all nonreplaceable and the only bulb that is replaceable is the orange bulb.

Hey guys just curious what’s the cost of the upgrade with wiring harness. My 15 definitely needs new headlights the outer lenses are getting fogged and looking to upgrade.

 

Depends on if you find the headlights on sale. They range from mid 400 to 600 for the pair and I think the iHacker is 100?

 

So your side parking light is a permanent LED?

I guess we were responding to different posts.

There are 2 replaceable amber halogen bulbs in the stock LED housing.
The turn signal and the side parking/marker/running light, whatever you want to call it.
Neither is a permanent LED as the headlight and the upper and lower white LED strips

Never noticed that turning on. I thought it was just a reflector. I'm rarely outside the truck when the lights are on.
