The best I could do is if you have the tow package you should have the 170 amp version.

Litres are the Devils offspring, the true god rejects the metric system in its entirety,..and so it shall be. I read that somewhere. :)

Because the 38 gallon tank only provides 29-30 gallons of usable fuel. The other 8 gallons gets "miracled" to a holding tank and redistributed to a new chain of gas stations owned by Toyota Chief Curmudgeon (TCC) Michael Gary Sweers.

    The name of the franchise?

Steers and Sweers Family Fuel Stop N'at: a subsidiary of Eff Your Cooler and Eff You Holdings, Gmbh.

The fuel is still useable, but the computer shows 0 miles of range at that point because the truck is super conservative.

Regardless of what came on your Tundra, you can always get a higher output OEM correct?

Don’t know where you get your information but it’s wrong. Put 36.5 gallons in my spec’d 38 gallon tank. My smaller tanked Sequoia and 4Runner have 6 or more gallons usable when the whizbang dash says zero miles but tanks hold near book specs The 2021 Tundra (that my wife claims) held 36.5 gallon on a one time test and still was running normal. Could be a 38.6 gallon tank? lol.

Toyota is obligated to generous reserves because more and more snowflakes are buying new vehicles, if they ran out of gas, even due to their lack of basic math calculations it would mean months of safe-room therapy. Unacceptable.

As an old guy I learned never to trust fuel gauges and since early on do my own calculations. Was formally schooled on this in pilot training. When flying, never tie your life to a fuel gauge/totalizer.

I sent my VIN to Toyota’s “contact us site” and they verified That my 2019 tundra limited with the Tow package has the 170 amp alternator. (https://www.toyota.com/support/#!/app/ask). I would check that out before I did anything. Also note: even though some Toyota tundra models are scheduled in production with 170 amp alternator, Toyota parts department does not carry 170 amp alternator, the highest you can get through the dealer right now is 150. You have to go after market if you want higher
