    As @RobertD referenced it is not something that we plan on doing at this point. Being able to oversee all of the equipment that you receive let's us make sure that you get something that will work, and work as we intended! Example - These harnesses will not work with anything aside from dual-filament VLEDS bulbs. If you have something else it simply won't jive. My guidance if you wanted to get this setup would be to pick it up and resell whatever you currently have.
    So we will have more "promotional" videos and such coming eventually that will provide some more context surrounding how bright they are. I am sure that some of the folks who are hanging around in here will be posting up as well! I can assure you that they are very bright, but I haven't seen anyone behind me in traffic squinting!
    I will say is that the parking lights on this setup are not oppressive at all. It is a proper "low" setting.

    You will have both top and bottom portions of your tail lights illuminated rather than just the bottom portion. What makes more than just simple bulbs is that the brake light and turn signals need to be reworked in order to still remain function with the entire light illuminated. Hope my crappy explanation helps :thumbsup:

    The folks above explained it as well, but I encourage you to take a peek at the original post for full breakdown details, and this quick video will give you an idea. Our taillight mod is on the left, and the OEM setup is on the right! If you are happy with the functionality of the OEM setup and just want LED bulbs there’s certainly nothing wrong with that either!

    I have another question, I apologize if it has already been covered.
    2014 Tundra SR5
    I currently have LED turn signal bulbs front and rear.
    I also have the Vleds VLR-3 resistors installed behind the tail lights.
    They cover both front and rear from hyperflash.

    Your harness includes a resistor, and from my understanding, I'll need to disconnect my VLR-3s.

    So my question is this;
    Will your resistor prevent both my front and rear from hyperflash?
    Or will I need to buy another resistor to prevent hyperflash since both front and rear turn signals will have LEDs

    I hope this makes sense..

    So... I think you might have what we are including and what you have installed only slightly mixed up, but it's all good I'm here to help!

    If I am reading what you have written correctly you have a VLR-3 spliced into your OEM wiring one way or another, yes? If that is the case, and you decide to pick up one of our kits go ahead and mark resistor option "No". You have already introduced plenty of resistance into the system to balance it out and prevent hyperflash, and all of the work you have done comes in-line before anything we modify in this kit.

    Our kit does not come with a resistor standard. It is an option for those folks who may need it (swapped front turn signals with cheap or small LEDs that have low natural resistance for example), and have not already addressed the resistance elsewhere. We have already tested these lights with a truck that has OEM halogen front turn signals with no Hyperflash so we are under the impression that many (if not most) applications will not need them. Your VLR-3 will be PLENTY with its 4.5A. The great thing about what we have going on here is that if you (or someone else) does end up needing to add some additional resistance into the system it can be done with no splicing. The VLR-15 (1A) resistors that we have chosen are able to be screwed into the system in-line between the harness that we provide and the switchback bulb installed into the reverse pocket. :thumbsup:

    Random question. In option A, with the clear section now turn and reverse, when locking and unlocking the truck, is that what flashes now or would it still be the top red portion on the light? Not important by any means, I just happened to be walking out of the store and unlocked my truck and noticed what light flashes. Thought about this set up and it piqued my interest lol

    Hot tails now installed! Took me about 30 minutes and one cup of coffee. Super nice kit. Seems the wiring harness on the truck’s passenger side is longer so I used a velcro wire tie to keep things a bit more tidy. Very happy with the results! Thanks @memario1214! No hyper flash on a stock 2021 with the TRD LED headlights.

    I'd bet that amber flash when unlocking would be easier to see at night in a dark parking lot than the red I have now.
    I park in the same general area at work, but getting off at midnight I use the unlock flash to help find my truck..

    Starting to win me over on the amber flash..:thumbsup:
