I'm looking to put a 3" suspension lift on my 2017 SR5. I have a camper shell ordered, and will be adding a Warn semi-hidden winch setup with a 12k lb winch (~120lbs total) as well as an aftermarket rear bumper (85lbs) and rock sliders. I mainly use my truck for my remodeling business so it hauls materials and a 5x10 tool trailer that's pretty loaded down. For the next two years it's also going to be my family's only vehicle, used mostly for short commutes but also for some off road camping adventures. I have 4 and 7 year old kids so we have to take a lot of crap (my days of carrying everything I needed in a backpack are long gone). We're looking at adding a 2-3 person RTT to the top of the camper shell. I'm not trying to do any rock crawling, but we do like to get out away from the weekend warriors.

So, long story short, I'm adding a bit more weight that I'll be daily driving with, and occasionally towing or carrying a lot more weight, sometimes off road. I'm looking for the suspension system that hits that sweet spot between reasonably comfortable unloaded and still capable when loaded. I'm really interested in what people with similar needs and setups are running and how well they like it or what they would do differently.

With what you are planning to add (accessories, mods weight) and hauling and towing, suggest you look at OME suspensions. They are designed for overlanding and hauling gear and loads. 3 different spring rates available- depending on load and if you will be using heavy bumper, winch, etc. You are going to need something heavy duty and reliable, OME is both.

I've been looking at the OME kits, I guess my question would be that since most of the weight I'll be adding is in the rear would the 614 springs give me what I need performance-wise up front with a little smoother ride (vs. the 613s)? I expect to just see how the rear handles and add some weight in the back if it feels too stiff for daily driving.

With current shortages I dunno bro. Gonna likely be a fight to get anything. I would go wirh Dobinson's all around. Their HD leaf packs are great!!

Search this site (upper right) for OME suspension, there are some good threads and info. Also, give Toytec a call (link I posted), they can explain the different spring loads available. I have run OME on a few different vehicles, stout components, install and forget it and their stuff is great for load carrying. Had OME on my 4runner for the past several years and 70k miles, no issues ever and it still drives great- unlike some suspensions where the shocks lose dampening and need to be replaced or rebuilt every 40-50k miles.

    OME leaf packs frequently squeak.

Would something like Icon's add a leaf work with the weight and towing requirements I have or am I going to need to swap in heavier duty leaf packs?

There are band aids, and then there are stitches. When a wound requires stitches, band aids prove to be useless and a waste of money.
