I had the same issue, I don’t think the dealership takes that off. I’m sure they use an impact and 3/8 extension to take your filter housing on and off instead of the right tool, so it gets over torqued. As soon as my Toyota care oil changes were used up I replaced the housing with the metal version. I had to put my plastic housing in a vise to get the drain plug out.

It's the little things. Not perfect on the driver door but I like the look. Before and and after photos.

It does that because it's not available from the factory on the 5.7. It's originally from another engine but the size and threads are the same.

For example many places will say TRD Pro rims don't fit on SR5, Platinum, etc. because they don't come standard on that trim. But they all have the same hubs so they fit not problem.

How much were you quoted to have it powder coated?… I love that bumper… Just think at that price it should come painted..

10k service, oil change, tire rotation, etc. Does it drive anyone else crazy with the cooler temps the tire pressure monitoring says the tires are low on pressure every cool morning? My door jam says 30 psi for front and 33 for back. Should I up that a bit for the winter months to avoid the tpms warning me every morning?

With the stock tires, I found going up a few lbs made an improvement, less squishy feeling. Tires wore better too.

Depends when you check the tire pressures and then when you drive the most. Rule of thumb is 1 psi for every 10 degrees F change. So fill at 70 but drive at 20 and you lose 5 PSI. I personally like driving on 33 front/35 rear. So most often I fill to 34/35 front and 36/37 rear since I don't have early morning commutes, and tweak it every few months. The light coming on at -40 doesn't bug me, usually goes out 5 minutes into the drive, that's the only time of year I'll run a little low.

Very strange. I worked 9 years with insurers brokers. 4 of those in claims. A policy is not made per state. Most insurers do not cover aftermarket parts if its not noted on the policy. The rule of thumb is that they will cover whats insured. Rims, wheels, stereo, leather seats, turbos…. Nothing is automatically covered. Most of them are more expensive. Of course they are cheap aftermarket parts but I dont know about GOOD “cheap” aftermarket parts. There are always exceptions to the rule but if you dont pay for the extras then its not covered. Again there might be ways around this. Also there is the liability behind what they approve to installed on the truck. GOOD LUCK.

Not sure why you’re wishing me good luck.
    It’s not my claim.

We’ll have to agree to disagree.
I can only go by personal experience.

btw. Policies are absolutely different by state.
I’ve had more than one vehicle registered in different states under the same insurer.

I like them more than I should to be honest. It’s just so nice being able to step in and out of the truck versus slide off of the edge of the seat, which I know will wear it out.

I thought you said that your insurance company had covered aftermarket parts for you. Good luck with your claims. Or maybe not. Don't know. Im confused. Ill take back the “Good luck” then. Sorry for trying to be nice.
