2005 DC 4x4 4.7 has a small surge when accelerating onto a highway or similar…any ideas? Fuel injectors maybe?

Surge is an odd choice of words. Kinda implies a small boost of power, like maybe when it shifts? A stumble is more common, unless its a rhythmic surge?

Good point…not a surge. definitely more of a stumble.

Check fuel pressure, could need a filter, could be a pump, but also could be injectors.

could be a number of sensors.

Protip: @Motopilot if you want to correct your thread title, scroll up to post #1 and click 'Thread tools', then choose 'edit title' to replace 'surge' with 'stumble'. Might change who clicks on the thread to read. This is also helpful for folks who sell in the Marketplace, to clearly mark your item as SOLD in the title. Thread tools option only shows if you're the original creator of the thread.

Also plugs. Lookit everything, look at the leaks, rust, corrosion, age.

its way too vague to pinpoint.

Vids or pics + on the ground, eye on target feedback. Otherwise take it to a shop, cause old trucks are a hands-on hobby.
