Watching my dog play with his girlfriend. She's an older woman, a service dog for my blind neighbor. Service dogs need to have fun too.

Waking up in the morning - seriously, sometimes it’s as simple as realizing how lucky I am to wake up in the morning, having a house, a dog and at least one other person in the world who gives a shit whether I’m alive or not.

It’s not a lot to get excited about until you realize the alternatives - then it makes it easier to get happy.

Todays things that make me happy - having what little faith I have in humanity and their ability to do “the right thing occasionally” restored.

In yesterdays Tampa Bay game - Mike Evans did what comes naturally to Mike Evans - something stupid - and tossed Brady’s 600 TD pass ball into the stands. The fan who caught the ball though gave it up after a quick “negotiation” - basically a staffer came to him and say “hey - we’d like to give the ball to Mr Brady and how about we replace it with another and a gift card to the team shop - which was readily accepted. No long drawn out drama and negotiation- just a sure - here you go.

Now granted the fan was wearing a Mike Evans jersey which makes you question his level of comprehension…but still a decent thing to do. Didn’t act the fool, didn’t try to grab some spotlight for himself - he just recognized the ball was a piece of memorabilia from a hall of fame career and gave it back to the player.

Now not that Tom Brady needs the common fan to do him any more favors in life - he seems to be doing well as is - but again, good for the guy who gave him the ball instead of rushing to eBay with it trying to make a buck.

And good on Brady for making a point to take the hat off his head and give it to a young fan who was holding up a “Tom Brady helped me beat cancer” sign. Again - not that Brady or every other player in this league doesn’t do simple things like this all the time - but given he had a lot going on - nice to see the guy stop and still make time for a young fan after a monumental game. Could have easily just walked by - waved and been caught up in the celebration…but he took 30 seconds to make that kids year.

If TB wins it all - they owe that fan a ring. Least they can do for the guy in my opinion.

Especially when that ball could easily go for millions. That is TD 600. 1 of 1 so to say. The chances of seeing another QB with this long of longevity get to 600 is almost impossible.

It is amazing how putting a person on a filter makes it all better. Nothing against them, just not the right vibe sometimes.

Now if I could keep myself from clicking on every new ‘22 thread and hoping it won’t be a chitshow…it’s like when someone says “don’t touch that. It’s hot”. ..challenge accepted.
