Yes, but it's not easy on these trucks. See my V6 lifetime project build thread, and then see my corolla build thread when I replaced the cigarette lighter bulb on it.

Both use the same bulb, and I found a much easier way to swap to LED which is on the corolla thread. I plan on revisiting the V6 to replace with a new LED bulb instead of that cobbled together gobbledygook I did the first time I was in there

Yes, which is why when I go back in the second time, I'll do it right. I will use the corolla to test my retro-fit bulbs for verification before I take the whole lower dash apart.

    Be prepared.

I've considered selling these retro-fit bulbs for those who cannot solder, or just want a plug and play LED upgrade in whatever colors SBL.com offers their neowedge bulbs in. Haven't given it much thought yet.

So i did the conversation to led and everything seems to be working but not sure how to get the low gas indicator to light up? Do o have to wait until I'm low on gas? Also not sure if it was working before but my high beam indicator doesn't work what can it be?

You have to use original incandescent bulbs since it uses variable resistance from fuel sending unit to light the bulb. The emptier it gets the brighter the bulb gets. LED's are diodes that are either on or off.
    2 common reasons are....
    1) LED's are polarity sensitive and you need to turn it 180 and put it in.
    2) You've added LED headlights and you need to add a motorcycle load resitor.

    1. Ok so most likely I have to add a resistor because of twisted the blub.

    2. So I tried the incandescent and LED on the gas indicator. My question is there a way to test to see if it's working?

You also need incandescent on the charge light. Some vehicles also require it for the CEL.

So I have LED on the CEL and it works good also on the battery one. Just having trouble with the gas indicator. Have tried both bulbs and still doesn't light up when key is turned to accessory .

Also noticed that my led fog light sometimes don't turn on when I turn my truck on with the switch left to on. I have to turn switch off wait a sec then turn it on. Can this be they need a resistor also?

The charge light will light up fine, that's not the issue. The issue is the voltage regulator built into the alternator is designed to work with an incandescent and won't put the proper voltage out with a LED in place iirc.

Couldn't say on the fog issue, as I never did those.

Gas indicator needs incandescent as well.

It won't light up at all until low on gas.

I haven't given this any thought. What color do you want? I can do any of the colors listed on super bright leds

If you want a white one, I reccomend the cool white.

My instrument panel had the green condoms on the OEM bulbs, so I ordered the green LEDs. It was horrible! I ordered the cool white and I love it!

Cool white is superb. I made the mistake of ordering a bunch of natural white 74s for interior lights, and other such things. I hated it.

Replaced with cool white, and then used my natural white for the instrument cluster LED conversion. Since the light is filtered anyway, the temperature color of the lights didn't matter.

Turn signals. Cruise. Door ajar. Parking brake. High beam indicator. All natural white LEDs.

I'll order a few, and then update you when I'm done swapping it over.

I've got yours done. You'll have to wait until tonight before I can get night time shots.

Unfortunately, I suspect the ring light diffuser around the cigarette light has a yellow-ish shade to it already which makes it look more warm white than cool white.

The color leds definitely don't have that problem as you saw on the corolla post I linked above.

I'll check in a little bit, and update. I know inrmemeber there being the external clear ring, and then a white ring behind that on my Tundra. The corolla looks to be the same way.
