It's in Santa Monica, extremely high cost of living and at some point they'll sell it for close to that.

Just 15 years of California sun damage I bet.

Frame I'm seeing thru the wheel well looks good tho. Paint is usual for white, like mine, chalked to hell. Link to what I did for paint correction in my signature. Nothing fancy, just time consuming.

Frame is good. Made sure I crawled under it. I was a little uneasy because the frame fix was the coating. It’s held up well though for being over 20 years old.

    just primed that bad side….

That price is insane. According to KBB, they should expect to get around $19k in very good condition. https://www.kbb.com/toyota/tundra-double-cab/2006/sr5-pickup-4d-6-1-2-ft/?condition=verygood&intent=trade-in-sell&mileage=22000&modalview=false&options=6495788|true&pricetype=trade-in&vehicleid=1695

For that asking price, I would expect her to post more photos if they are serious about getting an online buyer/inquiry. Hard to imagine it needed a fresh coat of paint with only 22k miles being located in SoCal. I wonder how much that paint job cost them and how much they are factoring that into the valuation...

As @shifty` noted it kind of seems suspicious it has been freshly painted.

If it truly only has 22k miles and a clean report they ought to consider listing it on bringatrailer.com once they get that dent out of the rear bumper and address any other obvious imperfections if they are expecting anything close to $30k.

Imagine if you paid that price and someone totaled it in a couple of years only to get a fraction of that in compensation from your insurance company.

If I was considering spending $30k+ I would buy a more affordable one and drop in a rebuilt engine and transmission if I was so keen on having super low mileage.

If you have never used autotempest.com to search for vehicles I highly recommend it as it searches across mostly all sites for the options you desire. I have been keeping an eye out for a 05-06 double cab 4WD as I wouldn't mind trading up my RCLB as the family is growing but since prices are up and we already have two other vehicles there is really no immediate need.

I'm thinking of selling mine... 2003 4dr, 4x4 TRD Limited 4.7l with 1st gen SC and 125k miles. My step dad bought it from the factory in '03 and I bought it from him in '07 with 14k miles, the one in my profile pic!

Sadly, as with all things automotive, once you cross that 99,999.99 mile threshold, even with trucks that easily knock out 300-400k miles, a lot of people won't pay more than KBB, and many expect to get it at least 10% less than KBB, or want the trade-in KBB value.

What were you thinking about pricing? I've been looking for a 2WD (mines 4WD), either 1st gen Tundra or Taco to tinker with so not sure yours would work, but you're not exactly far away either...

I just got a 2002 2WD Tundra with 136K miles for 9K. No frame rust. But has body rust in places. Both wheel wells appear to have been patched and soft spots in the bed. Have replaced rack and pinion, fixed seized e break, replaced timing belt, water pump, drive belts and thermostat. Work done prior to me purchasing was new cat, O2 sensors, and valve cover gasket replaced.

Welcome to the forum. If no frame rust, but body rust, frame was likely replaced.

If you haven't already spied it, get caught up on your new purchase: https://www.tundras.com/threads/so-you-wanna-buy-just-bought-a-1st-gen-tundra-eh.115928/
