I would think there would be enough room for a .25” shim in there. Not looking at the 0.5” shim. Correct me if I’m wrong. They are 35x12.5 Ridge Grapplers on 17” icon vectors.

Look on top of your shock mount where the strut bolts on. Measure the remaining threads on top. If you already have the 1/2” shim in there from Wescott I bet you won’t have enough thread to get another shim in there. 1/2” pretty much maxes it out.

Yeah I looked. Not really any threads their but per a conversation with David at coachbuilder. Those studs are similar to wheel studs and can just be pressed out and replaced with longer ones. After measuring my truck though it doesn’t appear to have a driver side lean. I guess it just appeared to have it when I was looking at it in my driveway that’s not all that level.

Mine looks like it leans sometimes to depending on where I park. Thats just the nature of suspension on different terrain. Glad your all good though!

Thanks man, I still have a ton to do. It’s dark and I just got home not too long ago. I have to take it all back apart and install the steering kit and spacers, then take the grinder to the tabs in the spare tire compartment to get the new spare to fit. I’ll be sure to follow up, she’s still a ways from done. The tire shop couldn’t get the tpms to cooperate and said I need to come back Monday for them to dismount the uncooperative wheel/tire so they could visually see the serial number on the sensor. Their autel machine wasn’t picking up on it or something. They said the sensor could be junk…I call BS. Wonder if I can re-learn the tpms with Techstream. I’ll have to check it out. Anyhow, I’ll dig into more stuff tomorrow and post more info and pics!

Turned out great! Are those 1” or 1.25” spacers?

They are the 1.25” Boras that David recommended.

I saw you went 35 x 12.5 for tires. You think that's the right move over the 295/70's? I just bought the kit a week ago so I still have some time to figure out the tires I want but I'm still debating on the size.

I am pleased with my decision. Obviously I didn’t have both sizes side by side to compare but when I was looking there were only 3 available in the 295/70’s and the 35x12.5 were plentiful. So I scooped up 5 and haven’t looked back. Today the TRD skid gets reinstalled and the spare tire guides get chopped. Pray for me the 35” spare fits between the shackles ha!

BARELY! I mean 3/16” from the shackles on both sides and about 2” from the dual exhausts.

I am glad it fits! I think I'm just going to follow you and go 35's when the time comes, i know if I go 295/70's I will wake up and regret it a week later and start kicking myself.

I haven’t even hooked it up to the computer just due to lack of free time. Tomorrow morning the truck goes back to the shop that mounted the tires for them to fit a new OEM Toyota sensor. Since that last post I went to Schwab (for an alignment) and Discount tire and they both confirmed the right rear is unresponsive and the alignment tech said he’s 99% sure he heard the sensor flopping around in the wheel on his test drive. I’m reluctant to let these people touch my truck again, but they should be able to at least defend themselves and make it right. We’ll see!

For the full TRD Pro kit, what would you say is the total install time for a “medicore” wrench? I saw the youtube video on the shackles, thats easy peezy…. Curious on the front axle goodies.

    Thanks!

Took me about 8 hours BUT, I snapped a bump stop stud off in the frame and had to drop the lower control arm completely and drill it out. Just your average shade tree mechanic enjoying cold beverages the entire time…and stopping for lunch.

How long did it take everyone to receive their parts or get an update on their order from Coachbuilder? Its been a week since I placed my order and I haven’t received any updates on my order. I sent a direct email and messaged them on this forum and no response. I completely understand the delays that are widespread with shipping, but I was just curious with others recent experience. Thanks!

I placed my order on 9/10 and they shipped my TRD Pro kit on 9/29. I also order the Bora spacers on 9/10 and those were drop shipped directly from Bora on 10/12. Patience grasshopper!

Appreciate the info! I did not want to come off as complaining at all, because I understand what’s going on right now. I didn’t order the full TRD Pro kit. I just ordered the rear shackles, because I went with another option for the front. I was just curious with everyone else’s experiences. Thanks again!

any update on yours? I ordered mine mid november, no update since. Just got off the phone with them and they said they are waiting on Bushings from a supplier, about 2 weeks out, I suggested that they communicate over here, when you don't communicate you let people come up with their own answers...
