Hey y’all! I was wanting to know if I could wire up some heated seats in a 2008 that does currently not. It’s an sr5 with leather seats with no seat heaters as of now. I know a lot of things are pre wired into these trucks like lights, mirror workings, and trailer brake controllers to name a few. Therefore I was wanting to know if these were too. Any help?

I have an SR5 that did not have heated seats from the factory but the previous owner installed heated seats. Not sure if they are pre-wired for this but it can be done.

I did it with a kit I bought online. Took about 4 hours and a Dr Pepper. So far they work great and except for one nearly insignificant detail the switches look and perform like OE. Total cost was around 115.00

Do you by chance have a link to this kit? Just want to be sure that the one I get works correctly. Also, I love the Dr Pepper part:drunk:

This is the one. I bought mine on a different site but it is not available there right now. This is the kit I bought though. Looks like you'll save money. Mine was 20.00 more before shipping/tax https://www.ebay.com/itm/173119731051

Nuther question, do I need to get new seats to do this? My leather seats are kinda rough looking and thinking about seeing if I could get some 1794 seats. However, if I absolutely needed to put them in the old seats how would I do that? Do I need to take the leather off or what? Video or instructions would be helpful.

I process of doing seats- I have cloth in pretty good shape that don’t want to take apart. The pads have a really sticky tape that I’m putting directly on the fabric and then covering the seats with the wet okole seat covers.
From my perspective - these are made in China and if one fails, I don’t want to have to redo the tear apart and install process over. Plus I like the wet okoles. The switch for the temp has already failed and is being replaced - ugh China parts.

For the wiring the harness -I joined the 2 power wires (each has a 15a fuse) wired them to a add a fuse to the “power seats” slot (30a) in kick panel. IIRC - For the “on- off” I did the same but put them on the “sun roof” slot because it is off accessory side-
Okoles should be here in a week or so.

I purchased this kit for my 18 tundra and I’m a little confused with my wiring. Kit came with black ground, yellow, red and another red with a 15amp fuse to connect to battery. How should I do this wiring?
