Trying to find a used cap . Don’t really want to wait 3 months plus for a new one and boy the prices now have doubled since I last got a new one in 2010. I have a 2018 6.5 bed does anyone know if any other brands with a 6.5 bed are close enough in size to work on the Tundra ? I know a cap from a 2014 F350 won’t work . Drove 90 miles and it was a bit to wide and a bit to long . To bad it was a nice cap only a year old .
    Thanks for any feedback

I used an F150 cap on my 2015 Long Bed and it fit ad worked really well, anyone that argues that it wont work has not tried for themselves.

I cant comment about the 6.5' bed from experience but I also know just from measuring that the F350 cap that you went to get would not fit and we need to have a table or chart maybe where we can post actual dimensions though I dont have the time or data to make that work myself.

So my advice is to have one measured and feel like you can trust the measurement before driving far to see for yourself.

Have you tried Craigslist? I've gotten a great deal on both toppers I found on Craigslist. Used DC toppers seem to go much lower $ than used CM toppers.

Same here and in fact I think I found all three of my LongBed caps on CL somehow!

And there are not a lot of LB Tundras in the first place.

A coworker's Tundra has the 8 foot bed. I've been looking for a used 8 footer for him but they rarely pop up on Denver/Front range CList. I'll keep looking tho

I actually have an F350 for work and the bed measurements were close enough and the cap in new condition figured I’d take the drive just in case .

I’ve been watching Craigslist and Facebook Market place but nothing that was in at least good condition .

Well like I said the F150 8' DCU fit mine just fine and that might open up more options I would imagine.

I scored a used one on offer up for $200. Needs some paint. But other than that it gets the job done. Still need to figure out how to seal it up. It doesn’t look anywhere close to keeping out rain, water or dust.
