A couple weeks ago I committed, sort of, to a new location for the Pro Eagle jack. I welded in 1.25" x .125 DOM tubes to further strengthen the bed side brackets. Then there are bolt together couplers that I welded a 1.5" x .125 Dom tube that connects the bed cage to one of the bed corners. Tabs welded onto the 1.5" tube permit bolting the up the mount. Last weekend I "real world" tested it with 200+ miles of hard and fast off road. The jack is still there so it passed the test.:D The tube with the mount can be pretty easily removed, hence the "sort of" commitment. You can also see the pump mounted on the bed rail (before the plumbing was finished) for the pressurized hot water system.Pro Eagle mount.jpg

Sweet! After taking a shower when it was 40 something degrees in Moab I’ve been looking for a hot water setup.

The SGU guys have been using this heater for years now which is why I got that particular one. If they can have one for several yrs then it's a viable purchase.

Had a great time (far too short) in Baja to kick off the month with @GodlessPro and the folks from BK2BAJA. I recommend talking with them before signing up for a trip to make sure the trip you wanna take is a good fit for you. They offer all kinds of different trips. Ours had 4 long travel tundras, 1 MT Raptor and a MT Tundra. I feel like we were really lucky with the group we had. Everyone was prepared, experienced, and heavy footed. Everyone broke something, most, not all, breakages were minor. Gregg took some fantastic photos, about 2,500 of 'em. You can find him on Insta @greggboydston, super nice guy as were all the folks from BK2BAJA who acted as guides, hosts, photographers, translators, and mechanics when necessary.

It's a tough choice between the beach shot and this one also taken by Gregg Boydton.

Time for a new rear axle housing. Mine got bent a couple years ago and I've been putting it off, until now. So, here's the current project. New housing from a wrecker and a backbone brace, new 1/4" thick, beefy, axle perches and shock mounts from Ballistic Fab. Also did a 1/4" bash plate on the bottom of the diff. Hoping to finish the shock mounts and limit strap tabs tomorrow and spray with POR15.

Nice Warren! Haven’t had any issue bending rear axle housing after the TC SUA, but my bump pads are not happy. Going to stop at Total Chaos this week and figure few things out. The spring perches definitely need upgraded, we all need @joonbug spring perches.

I got rid on my Icon's a long time ago. I was never able to get a proper alignment with those arms. Went from Icon to MCM and alignment issues were solved. Specifically, with Icon tubular arms I couldn't get enough caster and could never get camber in spec.

I called Kyle and he said he thought mine were Ballistic Fab. But then I remembered he didn't install perches, mine (Camburg) were installed by SS. I wonder if Joon has the Ballistic Fab ones??? Anyhow, that's what I used, just required some fab work to skew them to the correct angle. And, as far as bump stops, I replaced a cracked delrin pad on the bump itself. Hoping a straight axle will correct the issue.

Sorry Warren, meant bump strike pads, then realized don’t think anyone other than Alex and I run them. Looks like most just plate the top of the original spring perch? I bought rebuild kits and strike dome things to put in the glovebox because SPC, but they have been fine, and work really well.

Thanks Dave, for the pic and clarification. BTW, I found more leaf bushing problems, fronts were torn too. If you need bushings I've got some extras, red though, all they had.
