Was going through my pictures and realized I hadn't made a trip report of a quick camping trip I took last year. Late October I met up with an old friend and found a killer spot. That was here. The next month I headed out to try to get to the same spot with my son and my second youngest daughter. As we headed up into the hills, the snow got heavier and deeper. I was having a hard time making progress and knew the campsite was beyond reach. At one point I had to dig myself out. Once unstuck I went on with the inevitable and turned around to head for a lower elevation. We came down and headed along a forest road that I'd never been up. After a short drive, we found a nice clearing, suitable for a nights stay. We were right next to the river and snow wasn't an issue. With a spot nailed down, we got out and got to camping.
