I am wanting to add my dash cam to my new to me 2019 SR5. What fuse can I tap into to have switched power and will a tap a fuse fit behind the panel.

Is there an easier adapter or harness for the doing it in the rear view mirror ? My cam is just a power wire, a ground wire and another wire for parking mode but I am just wanting to use it when the truck is switched on.

    Thanks

Check the build link in my signature.
I think that this is going to give you full time power (the Tundra mirror isn’t switched). But it’s still the route I would go.

Maybe tap it off the 12v power outlet?

I tapped into wires going to the mirror for my camera & radar detector. I think light blue & purple (switched & not) the camera wants a second always on power source for accident recording while parked on my 2010 Crew max & 2013 Sequoia.

I used this. Turns off after my truck powers down.

Hands down the easiest way to do this.
