Hey guys, have a set of Icon coil overs on my tundra. I have the BBS TRD wheels on and I just installed some 295/70/18s on them. Tires clear entire wheel wells. I adjusted up my ICONS about 1inch turning collet down. The tire guy said when wheels turn the upper control arm hits the tires. Any suggestions,? TOTAL CHAOS makes a great set of uppers. Can I just use a small spacer to pull wheel away a 1/2 inch ?? Temp fix. Or is it not good to do that?

Yes, a lot of folks add wheel spacers to their stock wheels, partly for that reason. Just make sure you get good quality, reputable wheel spacers.

I have no experience with wheel spacers. I’ve read on here from others that do run them that they’re safe. I don’t remember which brands are the best, though. Hopefully the wheel spacer experts will chime in.

No you can’t use a 1/2” wheel spacer. The studs will protrude through the spacer and hit the wheel. 1” is minimum if you have dimples in your wheels.
