I like to be proactive with my vehicles, especially with critical components. I’ve heard quite a few horror stories about the OEM battery. I live in the Devils Crotch of FL, we go through batteries like popcorn.
Suggestions for replacement requested. I know every company, every parts store touts theirs as the best. Need honest opinions, good and bad please.

Yeah Fl heat kills us on batteries. I have a 1 year old Interstate and it is already getting corrosion around the positive terminal....WTF. I need to see if they will swap it out.

Corrosion around positive terminal can also be indicative of over charging of the battery.

I would hope not on a 1 year old truck. They don't make stuff like they used to.

Always had good luck with Oreilley's house brand gold label I think it's Ultima or something similar. Like you always proactive, usually about ever 4 years just throw in a battery for 180 bucks or so. Maybe a waste of money, but never left me stranded. That is what matters to me.

For insurance and the ability to easily help others I always carry my JNC660 with me as well as cables. That way at least if you do get a dead battery you won't be stranded. Even helped out when my friends boat batteries died this summer, his boat had 3 or 4 batteries and this thing was able to jump both engines with no problem at all.

Dont fool around with lithium jumper packs, their small size is great and they work but keeping the lithium battery fully charged all the time degrades it quickly especially sitting in a hot and cold car all year and once they're dead you need to buy a new one. With the JNC660 you can open it up and replace the battery in it easily. I had a lithium one for awhile and it helped out when it worked but as it aged the thing swelled up and wouldn't hold a charged anymore.

    I think I used to date her...

Big fan of Interstate myself living in 100+ Texas temps...
Currently running an MTP-27F that replaced a 6 month old Batteries Minus X2power that failed on me 2 times in that 6 months.

Batteries Plus and their X2power batteries can go fu(k themselves.
They royally screwed me on a 6 month old X2Power battery warranty.
Traded in the $350 X2 for a $25 core charge on my current Interstate.
