I think you could buy a new 21 tundra with that price

I was going to suggest going to the AZ Tundras Facebook group and check the classifieds, but I just looked at a few listings. Those fools are smoking crack.

you can, but usually you'll have to wait for production and delivery as there are almost no brand new tundras on dealer lots unless they are 2wd.
I had to wait almost 3 weeks for mine to arrive but i avoided the high markups and it was the exact tundra i wanted with all the features i wanted.

I found this private sale, but it has a restored title and 60K miles. Neither of those are too big of deal and I could pay cash for it and he would probably take less but a restored title still worries me.

i'd stay away from it. good luck getting insurance to cover it, if they cover it, the premium will be ridiculous. not to mention future problems, electrical, mechanical, etc.

restored, rebuilt, salvaged usually means significant damage or borderline totaled.

Unless he drove it til it rip, resale on those titles are bad.

Some would argue the older Tundras are better. (Look at the "too many lasers and sensors" thread.) Furthermore, here in AZ, your annual registration fee is based on the age on the vehicle.
That's why I went for a 2015, even if it had 100k miles on it.

EDIT: but you get a warranty on a 2021...

I bought a red 2018 Limited CrewMax about a month and a half ago with 54k miles on it. I haven't had any concerns about the mileage.

I'm headed out to Camelback Toyota this weekend with my father in law who's looking to find a Tundra as well. Supposedly Camelback is getting a delivery of some trucks either today or tomorrow so they say. Prices are up for sure and the supply isn't the best. He's looking for a 2020-2021 Crewmax SR5 either 2wd or 4x4, but wants the 38 gallon tank. Trying to find something within his budget ~44K before tax, title, fees.

Too bad you weren't closer, my lease is up on mine. I'm waiting for the 2022s to come out, just going to turn it in.. Mine only has 5500 miles on it.

Maybe check out Precision Toyota down in Tuscon? Just avoid Desert Toyota, their prices are too high. https://www.pretoy.com

I see four 2021s on their site that are crewmax SR5 for $42k. I can't tell if they have the big tank or not.

I was surprised to find the sales tax is based on the store, not your residence, so if sales tax is lower in Tuscon you may save a pretty penny on tax.

Thanks for the intel. I'll check out their website. Tax at Camelback for comparison is 8.60%.

Bought mine with 2 miles on the clock tonight for 41 and change. Checks all your boxes except for the larger fuel tank. Might pay to shop here in the Midwest, lots of new ones on the lots where people only buy Ford/GM/Ram and as of a few hours ago, dealers are willing to come down from MSRP. Fly here and drive it home.

I guess I dont understand car dealers and their business practices. From what I am seeing they would rather have vehicles go to auction vs. selling them for a bit above what they paid for them. I have made a couple offers that were 2K more than what edmunds or other books said they were worth and the sales ppl turned me down. Also the vehicle Doc fee in AZ is usually $500, that is a LOT of money just to file paperwork on a transaction.
