Ok so come spring I’m doing a lift and tires I think I’ve narrowed it down to either the OME or Icon stage 4. Anyone have experience with these or maybe there’s one I haven’t seen yet that might even be better or more bang for my bucks. Any help would be appreciated

If you search, upper right, you will find several threads about both suspensions.

So you know of Icon and OME. Others to potentially consider in that price range would be eibach pro truck stage 2, and then Toytec will have several offerings as well. Some of the suspensions are adjustable 0-2.5 lift, some can be adjusted on the truck and others need to have clip settings set when removed from truck, and then there are suspensions like OME that have no adjustment or fuss, just install and done.

Much of what could be best for you depends on how you use your truck and your budget. If you share more about that you may get some specific recommendations.

My end goal is an overland style truck, something i can use somewhat all around and go anywhere i want really. Bring it to moab or up through the Adirondacks

Then I would suggest OME. That type of use and running loaded is where OME shines. Ive run OME on several vehicles, rock solid stuff. They do lift a bit higher than advertised, so count on .25 inch higher. Use the light springs unless you are running heavy bumpers and winch. Even the light springs are about 10% heavier duty than stock, add in the beefy shocks and ride will be firm, but controlled.

If overloading, you will need to figure out how much weight you will be carrying. Way too many people have to change their spring package as they are too stiff or soft. If you set it up for a loaded up overlander, you will want to keep the majority of weight on/in the truck at all times or it can be a rough ride.
This is a big problem in the GX community as people want the lift but fail to read the fine print regarding spring rates, then they badmouth the brand as having a rough ride when the springs are rated for 600lbs more than stock.

Yeah that’s my concern, I’m going to be running a decked system packed with recovery gear and I’d like to run the truck somewhat packed at most times. So maybe the OME with heavy springs would be worth it but I’m seeing a lot of good feedback about icon as well and it’s about a grand cheaper. But it’s not a complete rear leaf setup

I can't speak on OME, but I have the Icon stage 5 and am very happy with it.

I have a bed rack and RTT pretty much permanently installed, with a steel rear bumper with tire carrier on the way. The bed is packed full for our overland trips - VERY HEAVY! I really need to get it weighed when everything is loaded up!

We were debating between the stage 4 and 5, and I am glad we went with the 5 because it upgrades to the rear CDC Valve. It allows you to change the compression damping (stiffness) from virtually none at 0 to extremely stiff at 10. The standard Icon factory setting is at a 4 (that's what our front is set at, which is not adjustable). It is extremely easy to use - you just turn the knob and that's it. On my last trip, we had it set at (I think) 6 on a pretty mellow but bumpy dirt road trip, then had it set it at 10 on a particularly bumpy, steep road with large dips and it performed really well.

No complaints from me on the Icons! Good luck - there are a lot of options out there!

Yeah the BP51 is the one I’m mentioning, which seems to be back ordered like everything else lately. I have a 2021 tundra limited crewmax, I’ve narrowed down rims to the fuel anza I’ll be running 18x9 with a plus 1 offset tires I’m still trying to figure out what route to go
