What makes a TRD model a TRD? I am looking for a used Tundra and the TRD models seem to have a different stance to them like possibly higher. Is it possible to add aftermarket items to make it a faux TRD?

Usually it's shocks, rear lockers and some cosmetic items etc, BSM / Parking sensors yada yada. Some are options in that grade sun roof, JBL and odds and ends

Yes, totally possible for the aftermarket items and a lot of people go this route, even TRD owners upgrade the parts.

The piece that can’t be replicated is the bed stamp.

Are you talking about the TRD Off-road package or the TRD Pro? Two different things…

There is also the TRD sport.
But since he is asking stance, I'm assuming he means the Pro that comes leveled. You can buy better suspension for less and level your truck many different ways, all without having to pay the absurd prices for a Pro. You won't have the "TRD Pro" stamped in the bedside and it isn't the easiest to find the BBS forged wheels if you are wanting those. Bit otherwise you can make a faux pro without buying 1 especially at the prices they are currently going for. Just due to supply issues, it make take some time to get your suspension.

To my knowledge the TRD Offroad comes with TRD bed side stickers, skid plates, upgraded shocks, 18" wheels, and I think that's it. I don't know if the different shocks make the truck sit any higher then a normal one, but I don't believe they do.

I think it is just the angle of the pictures. They look pretty identical to me.
