    Trying not to mod it
The sport is aimed at faster pavement driving, so I would expect it to be tuned for handling. Tuning it for handling will generally mean a stiffer suspension to help with body roll in turns, and the cost of that is a bit harsher ride. Just look at a WRX. Corners like it's on rails, but drive over a pea and you're gonna feel it.

The TRD off road and TRD Pro are going to be tuned for off pavement activities, so they will absorb bumps and jolts better, but they won't corner as well as a result of the softer suspension.

    My conclusion:
    • The sport will handle/corner better at speed, but it's going to have a more jarring reaction to any kind of imperfection in the road. The 20" wheels will also contribute to a stiffer ride and feel on less than smooth surfaces.
    • The offroad versions will have more body roll in the turns, even with sway bars, and so they will not corner as well. They be more forgiving about bumps, whoops, and cracks in the road surface. 18" wheels will provide additional cushion for this.

Ha, appreciate that. I can see you have excellent taste yourself. Make sure you update the Cavalry thread with lots of pics once you get the new shoes on!

Swapped my 20" with 18" and I could tell there's a bit of difference when going over bumps and road imperfections.

The sport model makes driving awesome for those of us who don't offroad. The color match items are what made me go with the sport over other models. I think the hood scoop looks cool, plus I got to explain to my son what it would have actually been used prior to fuel injection. With the mods I would have wanted to do if I had bought a regular SR5 I know I saved money going this route. There are a couple things I miss about my 2008 DC but overall, I absolutely love this truck! I bought her from the dealer in August of 2018 with 7K miles.

Wow, perhaps the first person that at least put the idea of a functional hood scoop into context with an intake system (carb) that would actually work with it. I see some many people complain about how its non functional, as if removing the plastic grill on scoop and cutting a slot would make a noticeable difference on our trucks. :hattip:

My brother inlaw has an 18 Limited and I'd have to say that I absolutely hate the chrome. Dress up the truck in leather and options, but chrome will never please my eyes. I also have a brother inlaw who has a Pro and the color matched bumpers just look right. With that said, the current inventory on used and new Tundras is ridiculously low. I sold my 18 Tacoma to givemeyourvin and needed to jump into something that would tow my bass boat every weekend. The Tundra was the obvious choice but dealers around me either had no inventory or only had base SR5 models. Contacted maybe 20 dealerships in California and no one would budge from their listing price, MSRP. I even had a few that said their asking price has changed from the listing online due to the shortage. They wanted $53k for a barcelona red when their listing was $47k!

Finally found this one in Hollywood and picked it up on Labor Day. Got it for $44k which I feel is "eh" given the current craziness. MSRP was a little over $47k. But during any other time, I would've negotiated for invoice and slap them with the $2,500 rebate off as well. Over all, the cosmetics of the Sport is great! The useless scoop, looks very nice in my opinion. And the truck drives really well with those sway bars. I was expecting a slouch but this truck is no potato. If I cared about offroading more I would've stuck with my Tacoma, or looked harder for a Tundra OR. But with a newborn and fishing very often, the Tacoma was lacking in space and power.

Looks good, if you don't mind me asking what kind of leveling kit do you have on the truck

I think you did really well considering everything. I also don't like chrome that's why I went with the warrior. Nice looking Tundra

Black is so nice when clean. I went with white because I'm lazy when it comes to washing the car.

I hear ya. My Tacoma was White. Haven't had a black vehicle for awhile so went with it. The other option I had from Hollywood Toyota was also white. Just didn't want to go back to back white. LOL!

I may do this, 'cause I'm definitely getting the boat feeling in the Pro.

Try the rear first, see if you like it enough or need more. I only did the rear, was pretty nice. Like I said, made a significant difference in turns, also made it a bit stiffer in the back though. Not enough for me to take it back off.

I had a Black Murano that I traded in for a white Tundra. Always wanted the White truck with black accent.

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere. Just wondering if the same shocks are in the sport as the off road? Same part number. Excluding the Pro which has the Fox shocks.

They are not the same. Different part #'s. The Sport has red Bilstein shocks and the Off Road has yellow Bilstein shocks.

I bought a 2021 and could not be happier. A better question is what's not to love about the Sport?

I love my ‘20 Sport. Only thing missing is leather, a must have for the dogs that ride in the back. KatSkinz are on my list to Santa
