I'd be for flagging them down or following to get a shot of the payload sticker. That way people who come on here and bitch that a hilux could do more than any truck every built would see just how it's rated for the 50 states.

I think that is a hilux from Mexico. I've seen a couple of those in Texas down San Antonio way.

Head out to S.E. Asia, you can see thousands of these all over the place. Many will be hauling nearly a semi trailer full of cargo stacked 20-30 ft. high. Quite interesting! Even more so when the load is human beings, like about 30-50 of them.

@nishibot the proper thing to do would have been to get his attention and have him follow you off Central and challenge him through those fire roads. I used to drive through those all the time to get to a friend's house.

You see a lot of cars with Baja plates around Riverside. Hilux are all over Mexicali (Mexico right at the border). Probably somebody visiting family up here.

I think it can handle the road if you remember momentum is your friend. Maybe not enough to challenge the hilux but at least get him in the dirt to see whats what.

I've seen more than one Hilux down here in southern AZ. And other bizarre named vehicles that I'd never heard of. All from Mexico.
