About to order this one. Had their tri fold on my raptor, became a real pain to fold up. Love the idea of this one just rolling.

My brother has their tri fold on his truck and now wishes he had known about this one. I’m completely satisfied with it for what I need.

Did you by chance shim yours per the diagram? I just got a 21 tundra and the X4s and sat a rail on the bed tonight and it looked almost perfectly flush and straight. But was wondering if these instructions were outdated (even though the X4s was released like a year ago) since the Toyota section doesn’t have anything that notes “-current”

No, I did not need to because it all lined up perfectly for me.

thanks! I think I’m gonna give it a go without shimming and see how it lines up.

Got mine installed! Not too bad. I think it’s lined up perfectly, but does yours hang off the back this much on the cab side? It’s perfect at the tailgate. I’m certain it’s as far forward as it goes after playing with it a bit. But was surprised at all the over hang.

Is it possible to add racks to it? Are you going to drill into the cover, or is there factory option? (I didn't see any rack options on their website)
I am considering the same cover, and if it's possible to add racks, I will get it asap.
    Thank you!

Yes you can. Here's a picture of my 2013 with the Undercover LUX. You can see I added Yakima rails to the cover. I would recommend mounting them as close to the bed rails as possible so you have that support under them.

There doesn't seem to be any manufacturer-provided option. However, almost all of the major manufacturers (and I'll probably go with Rhino Rack) have track systems designed precisely for these types of applications. So, you'd have to drill into it, but they make them for truck camper shells, fiberglass camper tops, etc... so it's made for this. These can hold up to 500# evenly distributed, so it's exactly what I'd need. I just haven't pulled the trigger yet since I can still carry everything I need without one, for now...

Thanks for this - it confirms exactly what I want to do to mine. And great suggestion about mounting over the bed rails - not sure why I didn't think of that, but it probably would've lined up that way anyway with the decorative ridges (or aerodynamics whatever they're for).

The BakFlip Revolver X4S just arrived, and I just installed it. Super easy installation, and it works really well. Very low profile, and very secure.

Instead, put a bead of black RTV sealant under the seal.

I'll have to take a picture but i just bought a 2021 CM Pro that came with a weathertech aluminum trifold cover. Didn't know they made one. Seems okay. Nice feature is you can remove it from the rails easily without tools. I also use a softopper for vacations so i think i can modify the softopper clamps so i can quickly change between the two

Two votes for Diamondback. I’ve had two SEs, one for several years on a ‘14 F150, and one on my Tundra now. Zero water leaks, tough as nails, extremely secure and very versatile. I tie all kinds of stuff to the top. I can still haul a refrigerator around. I walk on it all the time. I beat the crap out of it, run it through the car wash and it looks brand new. And their customer service is second to none. This is truly one of the best companies I’ve ever dealt with and I recommend them to anyone looking for a cover.

I installed the BAKflip MX4 tonneau cover this past weekend. It was quite easy to install.

I would agree with that statement prior to them being bought out several years ago. Many family members and I have used them for many years with great results. The one I purchased in 2020 is pure garbage and is falling apart. It leaks like crazy from places it shouldn’t from the day I bought it. Poor craftsmanship and basically I was told to go pound dirt. Their customer service was horrendous and I feel burned by a company I was once loyal to and would always recommend.

Huh... didn't know they were bought out. I got a new one recently and it seemed just as good as the one I got many years ago.

Unfortunately I will have to purchase another cover in a few years but I am trying to wait as long as possible before dropping another 1k. My cousin purchased the same cover for his F150 and didn’t have the issues I did. I just wish they helped me…

    Sorry brother, nothing against you.

It keeps it out pretty well! You'll get a little bit in there, but overall it stays pretty darn dry!

I feel like I'm beating a dead horse here, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Do you have the factory bed rails/cleats and if so, do you have to lower them with a bracket to install the X4S?

I really like this cover, but can't seem to find that answer.

    Thanks!
