    Good morning,

I am looking for lights that I can wire to come on 2h3n I turn my brights on. I don't want external lights, I want hidden or flush mounted. I have a ranch hand summit and need to work around it (a bulge light would be obscured, for instance).

I normally use light bars but don't want the hard-core offrisd look on this vehicle (no lights all over it).

Suggestions? Also how hard is it to wire them to come on wirh brights? Should I just do a normal switch?

    Thanks!

Oh and the reason for the extra light is doing 70 on a narrow county road with dozens of mule deer strikes a year at our company alone.

I bought trd pro headkights, and plan to purchase DD amber fogs.

Diode Dynamics has a kit with 2 12" bars that mount behind the grille and come with an adapter that ties into the high beams. I'm not sure if it would work with your set up. Check with @memario1214 for the hook up on DD stuff.

I have triggered driving lights off the high beam circuit. It is not difficult.

@SAGE63 recently got one of the 2-12" light bar kits from me. Maybe he can weight in on his experience with them!

Can you post up a pic of what the current front end of your truck looks like to give us an idea of where to start for you?

I have the DD behind-the-grille light bars in amber and they rock. Rather incognito when not illuminated. See photos below.

I'll snap a picture when I'm back at my truck.

I just purchased DD flush mount pro driving lights (and amber pro fogs), and plan to mount them on the flat part of the bumper. Not sure if the behind the grill lights will work or not, or if I can program those flush mount as driving lights, but open to suggestions!

Sorry I keep forgetting a picture!

My suggestion is don't do 70 mph in a deer zone.

Our entire county, every intestate and highway, north to south end, east to west, is a sign-placed deer zone. My drive to work is 25 miles of highway, combined with 10-12 hour days. The deer are lucky I don't do 80 and obey the speed limit at 70.

Lol. I was referring more to the amount of damage of hitting a deer at 70 mph.

I don’t think “hidden” or “flush” go with that monster of a bumper lol. Why not just mount a 30” bar on top of the bumper? A bulge mounted bar won’t work with that upper hoop. Maybe a roof mounted bar?

I know, but it is what it is. At my other job, an EMS station at a neighboring county, I have a 105 mile drive one way, in the dark half the time, half in a 70 and half in a 75 zone, both labeled deer zones.

I have a 24" light bar on this same bumper on a work truck and the buzz, either from vibration or wind (very solidly mounted) drives me insane, plus I just don't like the way throwing lights all over it looks. Locally every peckerwood throws eBay light bars all over everything and I don't like that look lol

Lol, understandable. Your bumper will definitely limit your options, but hopefully you find something that works. Maybe a spot bar could work in the bulge, but definitely not a flood or combo. You’d probably get blinded from the reflection off the hoop.
