    Hi All,
I currently have a Lexus 2000 RX300 and 2004 LS430 and going to sell both and considering 2012-15 Lexus GX460 or 2012-2018 Toyota Tundra. Leaning toward the Tundra with a major out of state move coming up within a year.

Im trying to determine features/specs with pictures for different models/year Tundras. Are sales brochures/spec sheets in one forum section/area here? I'm finding some after various searches, but like to find list of features for specific year trim packages. Looking to find seating color and upgrade seating other than black, heated seats and mirrors, grab handles ,rear seat options and some other features.

    Thanks, Nick

Welcome from AZ -- not sure if there is one collective spot on the Forum to find sales info/trim level info?

Slowly....I'm finding various brochures and specs after searching. Maybe I can set them aside and post all that I find on one new thread for others to find in the future.

Welcome! Katzkin leather seats and some rostra heated seat kits are pretty inexpensive to add vs the cost difference of buying a limited or platinum.

    TundraMidwesterner,
Oh yeah....I hadn't even considered adding seats.

Leather covering or an entire seat? Front seat replacement /heat option also an option? I was thinking I may get an older used and worried about drivers seat sagging...which would be a big issue, being a big guy myself.

Any idea if adding heating mirrors later an affordable option? I was planning on looking at purchasing only heated mirror options, however adding as a minor upgrade later would be nice.

For rear seat, maybe pull and make a custom platform/under storage? Saw some nice pics on the forums.

You can purchase new seat foam for the bottom of the drivers seat, probably about 120-160 depending on which factory option seat it is.

Then something like katzskin would replace all the existing material, keeping the rest of the seat, when the fabric is off its a great time to toss in heated seats. I did both front and 2 in the back.

I did the katzkin install myself and it took me a couple hours after work per seat, got it done in 4 days. It is REALLY reasonable to have an upholstery shop do the work though. I was quoted $1500 installed (just replacing the cloth with factory looking black leather, seat heaters extra). I just ended up getting a kit off ebay for $700 and doing it myself due to timeline I needed it done. if you go that route make sure to get good angled hog ring pliers.

I'm unsure about the heated mirrors.

I would not let your out of state move dictate which vehicle to buy. When you really start thinking about it, you can haul very little in the back of a short bed pickup when you are considering household items like furniture. And then there is the concern of keeping it dry should it rain/snow and secure should you be parking it anywhere overnight. We were just moving our son's bedroom from San Antonio to Houston and after some thought, just rented the second smallest cargo van from Hertz. So much easier.

I finally pulled the trigger and got a Tundra. 2017 1794 Ed with Off Road package, 48K miles. I've had it a few weeks and getting used to a pickup after driving the two older Lexus. They weren't kidding with the gas mileage. I was looking forward to having a vehicle with regular, not premium, gas but getting an average of 10.2mpg. It is good on the highway though, 18.2mpg. Unfortunately, little highway miles.
We have had recent snow storms and glad I got the Husky winter floor mats right away. Highly recommended to keep the cab clean.
