AJT Blackout Vent Ring Question.

So I'm having issues installing my AJT Blackout rings on my 2018 DC SR5.. Please see the video below. The rings fit the outer rings fine. But not the inner rings..



I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks..

 

Uh, those don't look like AJT rings. Those are quite a bit bulkier all around. I think you wound up with some knock offs. See the difference in the size of the raised parts in the pic from https://www.ajtdesign-llc.com/online-store/Vent-Rings-2014-Tundra-BLACK-p147466029 below.

ADJ or AJT? Did you buy from AJT or a knockoff brand?

As others have said, the ones you have are not for your Tundra.

Mine look and fit exactly like Azures stock photo.

 

Weird, mine were direct fit. AJT vent rings have been around for a while so i doubt he would of changed the measurements. Odds are you either received wrong vent rings if you ordered from him, or possible knock offs if you got them 3rd party.

 

As others have said you either have another brand or the wrong rings. Have had my AJT rings for about a year and they fit perfectly over the chrome

 

He must have shopped me the wrong parts then..
I ordered directly from him. Unfortunately I ordered them last year and hadn't gotten to installing them until this weekend..


I have tried to contact him via email. but haven't gotten a response yet.

 

I didn't know that the Taco ones looked different, so props to @Par2381 for knowing that one.

Bummer that you were shipped the wrong ones, but his customer service has been touted as solid here on the forum. Once you can reach him I am sure he'll make it right!

 

At this point I would be surprised if I got an refund or exchange. It has been over a year. I'm just glad I'm not losing my mind.. lol..

They have sat on a shelf for a year.. I only emailed him on Friday.

 

I know that struggle all too well!
