LEER Cap (soon), Bedliner, Deck Rails, Steps, Special Michelins, Toyota Mats...
Bought my 2021 Tundra in March of '21 and immediately ordered a LEER cap similar to the one that was on my 2008 in the profile pic...

I have not heard from LEER about my order and they have not answered my two phone calls and two emails.

    WHAT IS GOING ON?

Today I am going to get a cheap ($200-$300) soft tonneau cover installed just so I won't have to keep draining water, and soon snow, from the back and to keep it clean. This is provided it fits to the deck rails without needing to have anything drilled into the body...

I won't leave anything of value in there (I keep a long-handled brush for cleaning, that's it) so I don't need it to be that secure... just waterproof so I can actually USE the darn truck bed to transport things in the bad weather.

ANY RECOMMENDATIONS? The Truck Guys are right down the street from where I'm staying and say it will only take and hour to install, so I'm looking for today or tomorrow to do this.

    Thanks for any help, suggestions.

Gator srx is the ticket. Just installed one yesterday on my truck in 30 min.
$281 from Real truck to my door in 2 days.

Thanks! I will check it out. Store I am dealing with is here: https://truckguys.com/
I would not be able to install it myself, no access to private driveway or garage right now, and not sure if this place carries these.

I bought my truck almost one year ago and ordered my Leer shortly there after. Back then it was a 2-3 month lead time. I wouldn't be surprised if the current lead time is 6-8 months. As far as a call back, most manufacturers are operating as "all hands on deck" due to the shortage of labor. The Wendy's around the corner from my work just changed their sign outside from "hiring at $15 an hour" to "hiring at $17 an hour". People are being paid to stay at home and it really sucks for those of us with a conscious and respect.

That is a storage system and yes it rolls out. As for tonneau install you can install the Gator srx in a damn car wash bay, church parking lot, etc. 1/2" wrench 9/16" wrench and a screwdriver to pop out the bed rail end maybe.

When I lived in Connecticut, I always removed my tonneau cover in the winter.
My thought was, when it snowed, the weight of the snow in the truck bed would "help" with traction when driving on the roads.
When it stopped snowing, the weather usually warmed up just enough to melt the accumulated snow in the truck bed.
I never had any issues driving in the snow doing this.
    Maybe my thoughts were wrong.
    Just my 2 cents...

I am sure the COVID thing has a lot to do with it. For my 2008 truck I waited exactly ONE WEEK.

Good thing I am not parked in NH where all that sticky pine stuff falls into the back. At least here I am only getting water and a few small leaves that easily brush out. I hate the idea that water gets in between the bed liner and the metal truck bed... I try to drain it immediately whenever I get a chance to get out. (Mom can't be left alone)

I worry about wetness sitting on the metal.. since there are 'holes' on the sides of the bedliner. It's the installed type, not sprayed on.

If you need to and it will set your mind at ease, get some rv leveling pads and park on two of them to tilt the truck for drainage. You can get a small torpedo level if you want to lay on the bed rail to assure slope, get the bubble in the level to move away from the center.

I've been waiting a year for Leer to send me the correct seal to replace the one on the door of my canopy that isn't attached properly. They're having some kind of major issues.

In your application, that completely makes sense to me!
My tonneau cover is a LEER I paid $175 for from Amazon. Does a pretty good job overall keeping the bed dry, definitely not perfect.
    Good luck!

All manufacturers are having problems getting resin now. Plus the labor shortage adds to the madness. Then there is also the glass shortage. Not a good business to be in right now.

I was able to find at least 6 different caps for my truck in really short order much to my amazement and none of them were purchased for more than $500 used and the one I use Today I paid $200 for at it works perfectly to do the things you are talking about too!

I know it seems unlikely but picture me trying to find one for a Long Bed Tundra and finding several!?

Have you searched for something used if only just to get you by until the ordered one appears?
