UPDATE: Toyota is replacing turn signal switch as it is faulty.

Here I am, once again reporting another issue with this truck. When turning on the right turn signal only, after turning the steering wheel and the switch is triggered back into its original position, the left turn signal will flash quickly one time then turn off. Has anyone else had this problem? Not sure if it is turn signal switch related or clockspring related.

Going to the dealer in a few weeks for the cam tower gasket leak. Guess I will have them look at that too, unfortunately. There hasn’t been a single oil change where the dealer hasn’t repaired something on this POS… anyway.. thanks for any info on this problem.

Everything is going downhill OP. It simply will not matter what you buy. Corporate greed has taken over the globe.

I've had 9 Toyotas. 7 of them new from the dealer starting in 1985 (3 in the driveway right now). I've never had to go back to the dealer for anything. Ever. On any of them. I really need to buy a Ford so I can start a thread. :hattip:

To be fair, unless those were brand new cars maybe your not the best at sorting through used cars?

I am assuming you got this truck used? Your profile says 2015, and you have 15 posts. That's how I came to that conclusion.

Why would u hate to say your leaving Toyota? If I only had lemons from one brand, I'd happily dump them and never go back.

Regardless, hope it's an easy and cheap fix.

Camry is a 2021 and only a few months old. Purchased new. At 3,000 miles the AC evaporator backed up into the floorboard. The interior creaks and rattles. Not impressed with their quality.. but nonetheless they have solid drive trains and that’s honestly all.

Toyota is not perfect. their defects are a little annoying but they wont get you stranded on the side of a mountain or in the middle of a busy vegas intersection like my Ford. twice.

i'll take little annoying repairs and rattles and creaks vs getting stranded lol

This truck left me stranded in a parking lot about a month after I got it because the fuel pump went out. At 89k miles….

Happens. Within the last year lots of new Chevy V8s are experiencing lifter issues sub 10k miles. It's a huge mess with vehicles at the dealer for weeks waiting on parts. Just Google it and you'll see. Not bashing Chevy, they just received a bad batch of engine parts.

    Hope your fix is quick.

I’m just so tired of fighting this truck man.. I’ve had it a year and I swear it makes a new noise daily.

I have a Chevy that's like this. I just use it as a reason to buy more tools and learn more about it.

I'd buy a Ram personally. They are the best 1/2 and 3/4 ton truck out there IMO.

After 2 Rams Ill never look at 1 again that isnt a Diesel. Final straw was dropping a Valve seat at 120k.

I once bought a 5 year old used truck. Turned out to be the biggest pile of crap I ever bought in large part due to the original owner. I’ll never buy used again unless it’s old like my T100.
