Key words “well maintained”. My husband faithfully had it serviced every 3,500 to 4,000 miles. He just said Castrol oil is part of the secret.

Haven't been to Gettysburg in a long time. I imagine summer traffic is still a nightmare.

I used to live in Fairfield.

Welcome from OKC! Many of those are highway miles I bet. So, not a whole lot wear when cruising mostly in one gear. Easily done with good maintenance habits. Bring it again when you double it.

My 2002 Tundra Limited 4.7 V8 only has 282.000 on the clock.

I recently had a Toyota dealership perform a 4 wheel alignment and a 4 wheel brake job on the Tundra. I also had an independent garage perform a replacement of the upper and lower control arms. At 275,000 miles, I replaced the transmission with a Toyota rebuilt unit. Last year, I had the full air conditioning system replaced.

In the past, I had a 1983 Ford Club Wagon, with the 4.9 inline 6 and a manual transmission make it to 331,000 miles. I want to see 500,000 miles on the Tundra.

Good periodic maintenance is essential to long life in any vehicle.

Long story short, the 2002 Tundra drives and feels like it was brand new.

Two weeks ago, I bought my daughter a new 2021 Highlander platinum grade. The grandson needed new wheels as my daughter's 2007 Toyota Camry with 200,000 miles was in need of major maintenance.

Actually, I’d say approximately 75% of those miles are driving around town.

Wow, that is a bunch of city traffic driving. Must drive it around nearly everyday.

Hubs drives it 6 days a week all around the Antelope Valley. We rehab numerous manufactured homes and it’s non stop to the homes, Home Depot, Lowe’s etc. (if he wasn’t so scattered the mileage would probably be 100,000 ).

I was going to post a pic, but I can’t get the correct angle to show the 7 (it looks like a 1). But I’ll post the one I took.
