New to forum I’ve been looking for a 1st gen Sequoia and test drove this one today main concern is the rust - from the service records the dealer inspected the frame and applied a coating on 2018 based on the recall but frame was not deemed to need replacement.
Last month the seller had it inspected at a different dealer and they noted that there are some rust spots on the frame as well as the front and rear suspension but found no perforations.
I am a little leery but asked the seller to take it to the dealer he purchased it from since the coating they applied is already peeling off and that I would need a thumbs up from them on frame condition here are some pics

Where are you located? Looks normal for the Midwest.

I’d scratch some of that paint off… it looks somewhat fresh. Maybe they are trying to hide something

Start poking. Looks like some of it is bubbling already. Either bad or shoddy prep
