I parked my '20 TSS DC next to this Sport yesterday. I'm not sure what year their truck is, but I know the people so I'll ask. Anyway, the two shades of Barcelona sure look different to me in the same light. No wonder some people say it looks like maroon.

Two different surface angles of light reflection from the same viewing angle will result in two different perceived colors here, I believe.

I have a Barcelona '21 and lighting + viewing angle makes all the difference.

Mine definitely looks different in different light, too. But I've seen this truck several times, and it's a different shade of red. Just never parked next to it before.

    3/1, 295 70 R18. Some Color Matching
When I was color matching some pieces I went to a local PPG paint supplier. The manager there said that this color in particular varies widely. He said it is because of the number of pearls and metal flake bases in the paint recipe. In fact PPG recognizes something like 7 different shades of it from the factory but they also have more than 20 shades in their system from doing scans on individual vehicles.

Obviously sun fade will be a factor too depending on how old each truck is and how much one stays in the sun if the other is garaged. But he said that the local body shops have a hard time making matches look right if they dont scan a panel and custom mix for that truck.
