So exctied. After running to get a 22mm socket after work tonight, since I couldn't find mine anywhere last night, I finally got to install the rear sway bar. My son and I tackled the project and it only took us 55 minutes. All I can say is, "WOW!" I read quite a few threads and responses on this forum saying that the TRD, or any, rear sway bar is one of the best "bang for your buck" type mods. They were not wrong. I can not believe the difference in the handling of the truck now. I truly never thought it was poor handling truck, but with this installed? It truly is an amazing upgrade. Purchased from a local dealer, and we had fun adding a bit more to the Tundra. Pics make it appear as if the passenger side may not be perpendicular, but I assure you it is. Just a tricky camera angle.

Now, if you want even a little more handling improvement, get the TRD front sway bar.
Not as noticeable as the RSB, but does help.

Update... I read on hear in a different thread that the place to really see the improvement is approaching higher speeds, and freeway speed lane changes. I concur with both of these statements. I took my normal route to and from work today, and both are Interstate on ramp with decent curves in a short amount of time to get up to speed. The truck felt quite firmly planted on both! Also did a regular lane change at about 70+ mph and it felt like a completely different vehicle, even more stable, not that I ever felt it was UN-stable...but until you experience both, you don't know the difference. May have done a more aggressive, high speed lane change when it was safe to do so as well... That, also felt awesome.

Okay, so I got my front and rear TRD sway bars this week. Problem is, I’m a bumbling idiot. The rear bar looks dead simple to install. It is, right? Nothing comes off the truck - I just add this stuff?

What about the front? How difficult is that? I have the TRD skid plate, so that would obviously come off for the swap out of the factory bar. Is there any reason someone who knows how to attach sockets to a ratchet and can physically turn a wrench can’t go this by himself? (Aside from the fact that the front bar weighs 400 pounds or so).

Front sway bar is easier to install than the rear. One for one swap. Just torque everything back to spec. Edit: The TRD skid plate install was more difficult than the front sway bar. Also, yes, the RSB install is just installing new stuff. Seems I had to trim off one small bracket on the rear axle if I remember correctly to clear one of the new U bolts. Best.

How much fun is it laying on your back trying to torque to the correct specs with the exhaust in the way?? Thought I was going to have a stroke

Nicely done OP. I just installed one a couple months ago myself. Even used it as an excuse to pick up a new torque wrench (ended up being two).

Yup. Takes for….ev….er to finally get the U bolts torqued as they’re bending a bit around the axle housing.

The rear sway bar truly is easy as it is just adding items onto the truck. If you have the trailer hitch, (NOT a ball in the bumper) you will be removing and throwing away two bolts, and replacing those, but that's it. Instructions are very straight forward. If you can use the most basic of tools, I'm certain you can do it yourself.
I haven't done the front, so I cant advise there, but reading the above from Badknees, tells me it seems to be even easier.

I’ve seen that too on a power tailgate lock I just ordered. Not sure what’s going on but I ended up using Sparksparts.com
I think a lot of folks here use Toyota of Coolsprings too. I’d give these guys a try as well:
