I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
Are we sure about that? Sweers wasn’t exactly definitive in the interview.

If that is the case I’m probably going to look for a different vehicle.

I didn't think so, it won't change my decision on 2022, just hoping for the Voodoo Blue color option.

I will have to rewatch the interview, I thought it was more also. It doesn't impact my use case for purchase but I can see how it may turn some off. However, I think the power from the Hybrid will balance out the reduction in fuel capacity due to better mpg so for you it may not have much impact. I don't know enough about your use case so I'm guessing!

In the fast lane truck interview, he said it had a range of 4 hours while towing max load of 12,000 lbs. He specifically said so from Ann Arbor to Traverse City, which is about 4 hours from each other and a distance of 240 miles. So figure 240 miles per tank at a minimum while towing 12,000 lbs.

This. I've got an acquaintance (not gonna call him a buddy or friend lol) who tows a 30' trailer with his 2.7L EcoBoost. That *cannot* be a) legal or b) safe, but meh, he says, it pulls it just fine.

My brother says one of his co-workers tows a 30 foot trailer with a Colorado. I figure he has to be a masochist.

There is a lot of assume here. 22 gallon or 32 gallon tank? Is that running the tank dry or until the empty light comes on? How big is the reserve 3 gallons, or 15 gallons? Hybrid or non hybrid?

People are stupid, you will quickly learn that if you drive in Colorado or any mountain passes and see several people pulling decent size travel trailers with small unibody suvs.

Yeah, on our trip to Colorado Springs a few years back, I saw a bunch of 20' trailers or so towed by 4Runners (and even a Highlander in one case). Silly.

22 gallon tank is for the SR. Supposedly, everything else gets the 32.

Is anyone bothered by the exhaust being on the driver's side instead of the passengers? I understand the reasoning but it will take getting used to.

I know some guys with dual exhaust complain about gassing themselves when hitching up trailers.

Not sure why it matters much at all. When I'm hitching up a trailer, I'm in the middle of the back of the truck so exhaust from either side would effect me just as much depending on what way the wind is blowing. I have the trd dual exhaust right now and have never had an issue getting gassed out while hooking up a trailer unless the wind is just right.

If I don’t get a Solar Octane (if available when I purchase) my 4 year old son will be devastated. So we’ll see if his color tastes change in the next year or two.

Let’s hope so. If the iForce Max battery lives in the cab there’s no reason to make the fuel tank under the bed smaller since they’re not competing for space.

Reduced curb weight for higher payload and (theoretically) better fuel economy.

Why do I feel like your alluding to LR? If they market a bunch of Lunar Rock photos and don't include that color there is going to be A LOT of pissed off people, me being one of them.

A gallon of gasoline weighs on average 6.3lbs so the difference in weight between a 32.2 gallon tank and a 22.5 gallon tank is 61.1lbs of fuel plus a few pounds of plastic.

If I am so close to the limit that an extra 61.1lbs of fuel is the difference between legal and not legal, then I should have bought a bigger truck.

Can you confirm or rule out the 32.2 gallon fuel tank on trucks with the iForce Max?

Is there a determining factor on what trucks get the smaller tank and which ones get the larger tank? For example is it physical dimensions?
