I'm curious of what the block passages look like too. Like a 500b man's arteries?

I found you an oil cooler! Picking it up tomorrow morning. When I'm there I'll try and grab other connectors. It's not a pick and pull yard so they will have to grab it for me.

Throttle body by pass hose from RA should be here Saturday. Thanks again to @w666 for posting that link.

All three engine bay clips are on order at McGeorge, and order is "in process." I expect it to take at least a week before they arrive at their facility to be sent out to me. Similar to the camshaft sensor, or until @rock climber comes through on clips, and the oil cooler.

Not much more that I can do until I have those parts so I think I will rest after work today. I feel like shit.

Drain it when it's time for the coolant. Leave the distilled water for now.

I'll try to remember to get your core measurements today since I'll be taking it easy when I get home.

Glad to see that my gut instinct was right about leaving the distilled.

Is there anything else I haven't touched, that needs to be done excluding an oil change?

Not sure if you just mean in general or just involving engine related stuff but axle and transfer case juice replacement. Probably a drain and fill on the trans.

Spark plugs is a good idea. I favor NGK brand unless otherwise recommended for the V8.

Guess I'll read up on a compression test. Heard of it. Never done it.

Cleaning injectors is always fun, too. Not sure what voltages 2uz injectors run at, but i used a 9v battery to trigger my jeep injectors while squeezing a water bottle of injector cleaner through em.

I'll probably replace those with @dirtydeeds at some point off in the future. Probably need to investigate exhaust at some point too. Pretty much every system is compromised in some fashion. LOL

Also, just found these NGKs on RA. WTF

I run ruthenium’s on the 1998 truck… they work better with boost. Just get iridiums for the v8

I like a "Fire, and forget" plug (with notes to check at XXX,XXX mileage.) No need to swap plugs every oil change IMO.

For the older 1st gens it calls for copper from factory. Denso K20RU if I remember right. That's supposed to be a 30k plug. That's what I ran in mine since I don't drive it a whole awful lot. Figure it's good to pull the plugs out every so often to keep from anything getting seized.

Did a quick hack job with the Sawzall.

Obviously, the fan has hit the radiator, but how does this happen, and how can I prevent it? I genuinely do not understand. This is a light touch looks like. Now of the water channels were ruptured. Just folded ever so slightly.
