Oh please tell us which models are you comparing to get the 600lb difference.

I'm waiting a couple of years if my Taco holds up. I want first year bugs out of the way. I also want to see what the next gen 2024 taco will offer. I'm hoping my work can get me a sweet deal once market conditions go back to normal. When will we see SS Batteries? Plus I like to pay most of it, if not all of it at the time of purchase so I need to start saving and making some extra money some how. Specially if prices jump $10K from current prices.

TBH, I spoke before I was properly informed.
Unfortunately, my dumb ass did more detailed research AFTER I posted that comment.
I forgot to back and put an edit at the end of it.

It is really hard to get accurate payload numbers on trucks as the only thing manufacturers will publish are base equipment for each trim level. I was looking at a 4x4 Laramie crew cab and the 1800 pound rating.

I went to the ram forums the other night and looked at the thread they have where people post their door stickers showing their payload numbers.

While I didn't see an exact build as I would like, I did see a few close.

It looks like it would have a payload rating right at 1400 pounds.

Not what I thought it was, by any means.

Good on you for holding me accountable.

On a clear day, I can see Seattle from my house.
    Vehicle:
Current RAM 1500 owner waiting for the new Tundra "hybrid."
I seem to be in the minority here, but I think the front of the new Tundra is a whole lot easier to look at than the front of the Silverado.
Granted, the new Tundra's face is not all that appealing, but when you're in the driver's seat, you won't see its face.

I would agree with you. I think the front of the Silverado is quite hideous. At the same time, I think the GMC is very nice.

I would say the GMC/Titan are my favorite on looks. Ram third, Toyota fourth (maybe, still have to see one in person), Ford fifth, and then the butt ugly Silverado.

I was planning on trading in my '13 Tundra for the new one before the reveal, but not now. I'd love the 6.5' bed on the Crew Max, little big extra payload and rear locker, but no front bench seat is a deal breaker for me. I'll probably install a nice touch screen in my '13 with a backup camera and keep it for a few more years. Then I'll probably trade it for a Titan XD (always had good luck with Nissans in the past) or F250 7.3L Tremor (awesome on paper, not sure about real life).
