I had the bilstin 5100 on mid settings with Bora 1.25 spacers with stock uca's...very minor rub with cooper st maxx added coachbuilder bumper shim. Plus 2 shackle in back.... Recently went 2.5 toytec with shims in front with +3 shackle in back with add a leaf....weight of aftermarket bumper in front. If I had to do it over again would have gone 3 inch lift to begin with and would have picked a 295 that was better for road noise. These have held up well otherwise ...Had to do aftermarket UCA....Dave at Coachbuilder powdercoated them for me.

    That's like 318x68x18
Did you have any extra lifts? Does it rub any spots?

Do you think 305 or 35" tires would fit without any mods? I got the 2021 TRD PRO, I was planning to get the 295s but your pics looks like there is enough space to get a bigger size?

I can't answer that. The 295's are pushing the limits. I think the 305's may hit the UCA unless you run wheel spacers on the OEM wheels or change for more negative offset wheels. The consequence of the wider offset is to get tire rub against the front plastics. There is a kit available to move the front bumper forward. Others have used a heat gun to soften and reshape the plastics. Hopefully, some who have tried it will chime in here.

Bit the bullet. Glad I did. I have CB +2 shackles and strut shims for the front ready to go. Just have to find time to install them.

The progression from stock to 275/70’s to 295/70’s..

Not too many Doublecab Pro's in this thread with 295s, so here are some pics. Went with the Falken Wildpeaks based on some good advice here. Impressions so far:

    - Smooth, but def more firm
    - Not much noise on the freeway, like I didn't notice any difference. This may change with more miles.
    - Ride comfort-wise, I can tell they are new tires but the delta from stock is not big at all
    - Just took a spin around the neighborhood and no rub whatsoever at full turn going forward. Still need to test backing up at full turn. (I removed the front mud flaps prior to install)

Overall happy with them. I was nervous about the swap but feel better already. Gas may take a hit...meh it's already not great.

Was looking at my truck from the front this morning and noticed that the front tires camber looks a little steeper than level. Worried about tire wear on the outside edge of the new tires.

Didn’t notice this with the stock Michelins and didn’t notice this when I first had the Wildpeak 295s installed. Do folks usually get alignment checked when moving up in tire size? Or is a little bit of camber angle in the front normal and I just didn’t notice it before?

I always get my alignment checked when installing new tires - too much investment not to be sure all is good. My Toyota dealership has a machine that auto-checks alignment when driving through - about the only freebie they offer!

    Question for you 295/70r18 guys:

Non pro, but I’m installing the Eibach 2.5” pro stage 1 coil over lift this week. Nothing in the rear for now. I have a set of SCS Ray 10 18x9 25mm offset sitting in my garage waiting to go on shortly after. I’m so torn on tire size I can’t even think straight anymore.

Will these 295s fit? I think from what I’ve read the 25mm offset of the SCS wheels will help get the tire further away from the stock UCAs, so that won’t be an issue right? I already took the mudflaps & inner front flaps off day 1.

The front lift should make the 295s possible? Is the Pros rear any higher than an SR5?

Got them put on yesterday. Originally ordered the KO2’s but was told they are not made anymore.

Tire fitment issues on the Tundra are usually not with tire height to the top of the fender or the amount of lift. However, the width and offset or your wheels MAY present a challenge for you. If you love those wheels and tires, you can make them work. I can foresee rubbing issues for you directly in front + laterally. The plastic fender liner can be molded and bent forward using a heat gun to create space. Many have had good luck with this mild maneuver. There is also a kit of spacers made to move the entire front bumper assembly forward ~3/4". Apparently, it does the trick without any cutting, bending or chopping, and can be completely reversed by you or your next buyer.

Looking at a KPS 3" front spacer and 2" rear spacer kit for my '16 crewmax. Just wondering if it is something you can do in the garage? The kit looks pretty straight forward, just bolt in the spacers front and rear. Maybe an alignment afterwards? Any input would be greatly appreciated my brothers.

Just ordered a set of cooper s/t maxx 295 70 R18 for my pro I really hope they suck for New England weather. I’m coming from a 285 70 R18 Toyo open country mt which I love the look of but hate the tire. Mine started cracking 3 months in. Still have tread but scared they are gonna blow up due to the dry rot and cracks.

Going in tomorrow for some 295-70-18 Toyo Open Country AT3s. I currently have a readylift sst pro plus 2 (extra 2"lift front and rear for TRD Pro) along with CB +3 shackles. Not to mention I will be keeping on my spidertrax 1.25" spacers. Hopefully there is no rubbing if I remove the front mud flaps so I am both nervous and excited.

Stock Pro suspension with 285/65 Nitto Trail Grappler M/T. These came on the truck and thankfully are at about 6/32nd. They gotta go, loud as hell on the highway. I gotta do something about the trailer squat too, probably order up some shackles. I’m coming from a 17’ SR5 that had a ToyTec 3.5” lift and shackles, running 35’s, and Total Chaos UCA’s. I loved the look but it’s nice to have the power and mileage back, and the Fox Shocks ride.

Probably not getting any feedback because this is a thread about TRD Pros with 295/70R18 tires. You’d have better luck posting this question in the multitude of threads about lifts. The search feature is your friend! But to answer your question.. don’t use spacers. Go with 6112/5160 Bilstein combo. Theres plenty of info on here about that!

Ya man if you throw it in the search a ton of threads are available. If you don’t feel like searching I would start a new thread in the 3rd gen section. I wouldn’t be able to answer that confidently. Don’t want to give you bad info.

295/70 STT Pros installed while back. I ran these previously on another truck and loved them. No spacers, but have 1.25s ordered..theyre awfully close to the UCA so I'll push em out. 20220121_092813.jpg 20220121_092935.jpg
