    Hello everyone,
I need help troubleshooting my ignition switch, any inputs will be appreciated. My truck wont crank, so i tested the starter and it was good, check starter relay, it was good, im not very experience with electrical so not sure where to check on the ignition switch.
From the starter relay i can short out the hot pin to start the truck so i know from there to the starter is good. i think it issue is somewhere from the ignition to the fuse box, just not sure where.
my question is how do i troubleshoot the ignition switch to know whether its good or not, and if its good, what should i check next and how?. Thanks for the helps

    Welcome to the forum.
0.)make sure battery terminals are clean and all connections are tight. Also on the starter side.
1.) what happens when you put the key in the ignition and try to crank it, lights on dash , any sounds
2.) when you say it won't crank do you mean when you turn the key, the starter it self won't engage?
2.5)if so do you have a 2nd key? Try the 2nd/spare key and see if it works (just to eliminate a key chip issue)
3.) going back to sounds when you put the key and turn it step out towards the fuel tank an listen if you can hear the fuel pump running/priming (this will help narrow down were the fault is in the ignition circuit)
4.)OEM is fine , but do you have a aftermarket Anti-theft system or remote start?

let me know after those what the answer are and I can dig in 8 thousand page PDF a little bit easier. :);)
