What is hub centric and what is the benefit? I'm sorry if it seems like a dumb question. I've heard the term But don't understand what it means. Is it that the wheels center up to the hub so when they're mounted they roll true? Seems that all wheels should be that way. Are the factory wheels hub centric?

    This is correct.

Aftermarket wheels are sold to fit a variety of vehicles based primarily on lug pattern. It takes additional manufacturing cost to make them hub centric as there are a ton of hub bore sizes.

OE wheels are both hub and lug centric.

One important note is that this affects lug nut style. Tapered vs washer style.
