Looking to order 2022 Tundra for msrp today in SoCal

It looks like the TRD Pro is the only one with that red interior....but I could be wrong.

 

Soon. Public pressure and leaks forced their hand early. True specs and trim options will come probably next month or November. March 2022 they will start hitting the lots.

 

Just because people are willing to over pay for the new new with little supply available doesn’t mean it isn’t a shitty product. Try buying a new Tahoe, those are also going for above MSRP, doesn’t make it special.

 

Talked to Longo today. They charge msrp but 60 people on pro list and they’ll be lucky if they get 20 in a year. That’s why I’m thinking not pro if I can get it to look like pic w res interior

 

The bottom of this image says some will be available December 2021 and some options will not be available until March 2022.

Yeah, I think that red interior is Pro, at least for the release year.


BUT


a lot of guys pay to black everything out; you may be able to swap interiors with someone who wants all black. Although… I’m not guessing Albany would do that as it would lower their “Pro” resale. Red interior and a bed stamp is most of what there is….

 

yeah our dealers have finally figured out a few years ago, if you move more units per quarter, you get a fatter paycheck from corporate from the volume sales than trying to nickel and dime customers on each sale. the dealership makes more then 2-3x more from volume sales bonuses than trying to sell 15-20 cars that they maybe get 2-3 maybe 4-5k profit or get the easy bonus of 300-500k per quarter.

 

Several of the reviews have said it.
Red is Pro only. Same with the steering wheel.
Each trim is getting specific details only available to that trim, like the wood bits in the 1794.
And the pattern in the leather perforations is different in each trim (that has leather). The 200+ photo album on car and driver website shows the different patterns.
Somewhere I read or watched that the hybrid models were the ones expected in March, which would include the Pro.
Like Tim said, we’re still probably a couple weeks to a month before the actual final date is released in advance of a November production start and December ‘21 for the first vehicles arriving at dealers.
Given the market right now, it’ll be a surprise to see many dealers offering the Pro at MSRP and I’d expect to see a lot of dealers asking full MSRP on other trims. Until the various supply chain issues get worked out and makers are able to get their output back up to planned numbers, the vehicle market will continue to be asinine. The last info I saw was a 30% year-over-year increase in actual paid car prices for two years straight - that’s nearly a 70% increase from 2019 (compounding interest and all).

 

Yep, frame issues causing hatch glass to break, premature engine failures, radiators being destroyed due to lower bumper design, electrical issues, steering column problems, body panel screw placements that rip off paint on door, water pooling in engine bay, etc.

 

Good old American products.
