Now that the 2022 is revealed what dealers are not going to be charing the 5k price adjustment over msrp.

I called both my local Toyota dealrs and both are charging 5k over msrp for anything purchased right now,is there any dealers online that would like to earn my business even if I have to travel?

Prices on trucks seem mostly overinflated right now. Maybe it’ll get better next year.

Koons Toyota in Westminster, MD is charging 15k adjustment to market value over MSRP right now on any new Tundras!

Went to Toyota of York in PA and got a 2021 SR5 crew max for $100 under MSRP yesterday. I was only able to get it because the financing fell through for the guy that ordered the day before when it was delivered. It’s nuts right now. Good luck and happy hunting!

At the end of the day, if Toyota brings enough production volume to impact the market and lower what dealerships are selling the 2022 F150, I'll take that as well.

Also, GM is going to start delivering the revised 2022 GMC Sierra and 2022 Chevy Silverado so I'm not sure the dealership markups are going to last very long going into the winter.

Prices are cooling off a bit. Housing market too in many areas. I would think that as prices for things people need (food, utilities, etc) continue to inflate, they’ll hold off on buying things they don’t necessarily need (a new truck when the one they have is fine, or a new house when the one they have is fine).

If any dealer tells you they have to overcharge due to the chip shortage, tell them they're full of crap, and show them this Autoweek article. Toyota intentionally cut back on 40% of production elsewhere to make sure that the San Antonio plant continues to run full steam ahead. They may be short on chips, but they made sure that shortage is felt elsewhere, not in Tundra production.

There's a three month backlog period for any new truck, suv, or car coming into dealer lots. Dealers are paying on the high side of KBB values just to get inventory on their lots. Manheim auctions are going nuts with the high prices of used cars. So dealers dont really need to negotiate right now to sell a car. A lot of dealers are marking new cars cars as some of you are seeing. But there exist dealers that will work with you. Just need to broaden the search area.

These are he best dealers I found at MSRP or below. The hard part is finding the truck you like in production or in transit.
Sloan Toyota - Malvern Pa.- MSRP (where I bought mine)New Holland Toyota - New Holland - Below MSRP
Toyota of York - York Pa. - Below MSRP
Fitzgerald Toyota - Chambersburg Pa. - MSRP
Kings Toyota - Cincinnati Ohio - Below MSRP

Anyone have dealer recommendations in the Dallas area? I've heard Family Toyota in Arlington is good. I put a deposit at Pat Lobb Toyota in McKinney, but it remains to be seen if they are going to try to gouge me or not.

Dealers are not raping buyers. They are selling vehicles at the prices that buyers are paying. They have no supply.

my house has doubled in price. Am i raping the next buyer if i sell it? Or is that next buyer suffering from terrible monetary policy of the federal reserve?

No markup at Family, but they add on a $1,000 "warranty" that they won't take off. Did you have any luck taking that off?

I purchased my Tundra from Koons in MD... but I live in NJ. I got it in December of 2020 (New Years Eve) and they are pretty strict with their pricing. As the Tundras dwindled down, this is the only dealership that had the color I wanted within a 500 mile radius besides one other in Ohio. So I jumped on it. I'm glad I did, because the truck actually appreciated in value since then. I feel bad for anyone looking for a house or car in this market right now. They're also taking advantage of people with mediocre credit and adding points to the rates. To avoid all that I went straight to my bank to get financed since my credit is good and my bank knows my spending habits etc. I would definitely recommend doing that to avoid any issues with rates or pricing. Good luck in your search

I’ll throw my 2 cents in here. Bought my 21 limited 4x4 crew 1 month ago. 3 month wait, dealer sold it to me at MSRP but included weathertek, 3 free oil changes. Also gave me $5k more than my trade was valued at (2018 silverado). When I went to pick it up, there were 3 guys hovering around the truck with salesmen basically trying to bid the truck up. Thankfully my local dealership is honest and didn’t let it happen. My guy told me there are 2 individuals that come in everyday to see if a Tundra goes unclaimed.

I get confused at the anger. If my local store wants to sell bread for $100 a loaf they can. That's America. When they never sell any bread the market will set the price. I sold my a 2005 Tundra in 2018 for almost 8K but wished I still had it cause someone today would pay 13-15 for it. Does that make me evil that when the market says something is worth 8K but I can sell it for 14 I shouldn't. If these horrible dealers were not selling the few they have then the market would correct itself. The TundraDude guy just showed a NJ dealership selling a TRDPRO for 75K. It probably lasted less then 24 hours. Remember when you sell your house you bought 20 years ago and is now worth triple not to rip anyone off and just get what you paid.

Yeah, thank you for changing the post title @justalfe. I avoided even looking in here while you had it originally. Wasn’t willing to imply by my participation that I was ok with that.
