Somebody asked the question if this bulb would work in place of the running/blinker stock halogen several posts back. The answer was NO, for me anyway.

I love em! Do they have the sequential turn signals?

Yes they do. Thanks. I wired them to the ignition fuse too. The tech support line was accessible and helpful as well. This company is the real deal and I like how their product line serves an array of budgets/demands. Very impressed.

I installed these lights a few days ago and they seemed great. Today the passenger DRL was white and the driver's DRL was flashing between amber and white. Now they're both amber.

    1F8CA366-7900-4DF5-9FEA-75D9EEF18175.jpg

The headlights seem fine but something is clearly wrong. The battery seems ok based on the gauge in the dash... but this seems like a low voltage problem. My Android head unit kept going into sleep mode. All the connections seem solid.

Any ideas? I slapped a trickle charger on the battery so we'll see if that fixes it temporarily. Maybe between the new lights and stereo/subwoofer I'm over-taxing it?

Btw is there a way to make the lights stay amber because I like it. If it's capable of being amber why doesn't it use that for the turn signal?

Those look great no doubt. I had a connection issue initially after my install. I had to reconnect three times in order to wear in the plug and get it to fully seat.
Am sure you already considered the age of your battery.
You may want to call their tech support.

Follow-up: Shanet421 kindly DM'd me to clue me in that I hadn't properly connected the turn signals. I had watched an install video for the incorrect model of headlight.

There's a pass-through that allows the turn signal to switch the DRLs to amber and it was disconnected. Connecting the turn signal to the pig tail and then the matching pig tail to the bulb solved the problem.

I found the best price on Amazon... But try searching a few different ways because some of the listings aren't described very well.

I would suggest paying the few extra dollars it will be to order direct from Alpha for warranty and technical support

Interested in the longevity and/or repetitive issues you guys have experienced?

Yup, still have mine (Nova Series) since 2019. No issues whatsoever. No condensation, no bulb degeneration, nothing.

    Absolutely amazing headlights.

Got my Alpha Rex headlights in is there a decent install manual or complete video in which I can refer to. Every video I have seen is ok take off grill remove panels under light unscrew light. Then almost totally skip the electronics and bam don't these look great.

Also is that Amber an option that is pre-ordered or something I can do. Would like to install this weekend. Who is coming over? Lol
    Please advise

The instructions are BAD! So it's not just you. I previously installed other aftermarket headlights, read the instructions, watched a YouTube video, and still screwed it up. Someone else here had to personally help me.

But it looks like you have a 3rd-gen Tundra so your lights will be different. You might get more useful help in the 3rd-gen forum.

Just got some Alpharex Pro Headlight's in Chrome. I was really on the fence but felt like chrome was the right choice to maintain a more factory look. After searching for good photos of the chrome for weeks I just went for them. I'm loving my choice! Figured I would post some pics in case anyone was struggling to find photos of them in chrome.EA4A4FD1-A30B-4041-8D61-3904D6761B66.jpg

Looks good, actually looks better on your truck then on the site photos. And yea it's hard to tell which of the 3 colors folks have on their trucks.

The pro series headlights in chrome that I bought don’t have the power level adjusters. For the price though, I’m very happy with them so far. Right now stage 3 Motorsports has them on sale for only $318.75 with an additional $25 off for using code S3M25. Total price was only $293.75!

Did you use the DRL harness or just plug and play?

These are a very easy install and Alpha tech support is usually quick to help out if need be.

The only way you can get the halo DRL to work is by using the harness provided.

Well, I can't resist a sale. I ordered the matte black ones for a few extra bucks.

Are these the 2nd gen version with the start up sequence? The sale price is actually very good, don't remember ever seeing it this low. Noticed that they have the part# flipped for the matte and jet black lights compare to Arex website.

Yes, they are the ones with the start up sequence. They were easy to install. Basically just hook up DRL harness by connecting a power and a ground to the battery, then tap into the ignition on fuse with the provided piggy back fuse. Once that’s done you run the harness through the radiator support, swap the turn signal lights from the old lights, then plug and play from there. Aim adjustment was slow moving so I used my power drill with a long Phillips extension and was done in probably 10-20 minutes.

Ignore the bugs, just had a 1000mi. test drive.

These are sequential signal full LED headlights with DRL. The DRL bars are actually white, not off-white like this picture. So far I really like the new headlights. The set I got didn't come with any instructions so installation was fun but it would hve been a snap if I had a couple pieces of info. Mainly just how to wire up the DRL feature.
The ebay listing didn't say anything about alpha rex, but they came in an alpha rex box and had alpha rex stamping on the enclosures.
