That does suck. I wouldn't be too pleased much about a repaint. Dang.

Yes it does…I had a similar situation on a brand new 2017 4Runner. Had to get all the door sills sanded and painted. The final straw was when the body had to be removed from the frame for a repaint…nope nope and nope on a 2 year old vehicle.

Doesn't seem to happen a lot, but.....sucks when it does for sure. Fuel pump issue wasn't exactly great PR for yota either. All brands have stupid issues.

Absolutely! And truthfully I would buy another one in a heart if I need another SUV. S$&t happens and I got one percent vehicle that snuck through…. My family has been burnt much worse from Ford and Chevy.

For what it's worth, I had an 07. Bought it used in 14. Full service records. A CV boot had to be replaced early on. Just before I traded it in I had to replace the power steering pressure sensor. Less than $20. Did it myself. Took maybe 20 minutes with a 10 minute beer break. It had no AIP issue, no cam tower leak. Nothing. My 14 is dry as a bone at 125K. Everywhere. No AIP issues. Your new tunny shouldn't have either of those potential issues, especially the cam tower. Pretty sure yota corrected that manufacturing process snafu. Better late than never.

    Demand a Supra as apology.

My outback grenade its transmission at 900km, Subaru replaced it and drove 99k km on it in next 24 months without an issue, it's life, things happens, at least you didn't get vehicles with mismatching fenders or panels.

I have 459K miles on my 2011. Haven’t changed the blinker fluid but once…. Damn Toyota

Have 197K on my 2013. Had to add air to a low tire last week. I’ll never get that 90 seconds back.

Hope you didn't over fill it. Your blinkers will become dimmer.

Guess I’ll have to start using hand signal since this Toyota isn’t reliable enough.

I’m at 29k miles, both front lock actuators died. Still more reliable than any GM or Ford product I have ever owned.
