Has anyone upgraded a 2019 blade key, to a flip key, or other type of key fob?

I found a great flip key upgrade for my 2019.

i took It to the dealer to have it switched out properly. But they said they could never get it to sync up, and won’t be able too.

the reason being that there is a component imbedded in the plastic casing of my original blade key, that can’t be cut out and placed in the new flip key.

has anyone else had this happen? Or have any key suggestions for a 2019.

I’ve been told 2018+ keys are a bi*ch to find aftermarket. OE seems to be the only thing that’ll accept programming.

I won't lie it was a pain in the butt I used ardex to soften the glue they use to secure it and a small pick ....
Other people I talked to just cut it out With a excacto knife

I used a heat gun for about 15-20 sec to loosen the glue and then a tooth pick to pop it out.
