I don’t recall it’s been a while since I hooked mine up and I had similar questions. I would suggest calling crutchfield since you got the ready harness like I did. They are very helpful. The Maestro should have came with a schematic that should help too.

Does the navigation show next to the speedometer like it does for the factory nav?

Has anyone installed the Pioneer DMH-WT8600 in a 2019 Tundra? I have spent 2 weeks working with Maestro and Crutchfield on getting the rear view camera to work and am about to throw in the towel. I have tried multiple harnesses, radios and maestros. I can actually get the camera to work as a secondary camera, but when plugged into the rear view RCA jack it doesn't show a picture. Funny if I play with the RCA jack (of which, I have had 3 different copies of the harness to make sure it wasnt the harness and even hardwired one myself), it shows a bit of a scrambled picture. It is madness. I saw one post where someone with a 2017 tundra said pioneer is not compatible with the Tundra stock camera. Any thoughts or ideas?

What if. I say what if. You buy this a try it? If it doesn’t work then return. Seems like you are running out of troubleshooting ideas. Seems strange that it doesn’t work with all the proper harness you have.

Thanks, so you know if that harness is different than the crutchfield supplied camera harness? They provide a harness that hooks to vehicle backup camera harness and has the yellow RCA as well. I think the purpose is to step down to 6V.

The maestro harness supposed to do the 6v. Not sure y it doesn’t work with your radio. I would try it just to see if it is the same result like now. But that’s just me. Since it’s getting you no where at the moment.

Cool, I may do that. Crutchfield even tested the head unit and harness before shipping and it worked for them. Of course they didn’t check it on a tundra, but I’ve heard others have installed without an issue. Since it works when plugged into the second camera input and works with oem headunit, could be something in the maestro. However I even unplugged the maestro from the pioneer and same issue. I’ve tried two different maestros and flashed it around a million times.

Yeah. There’s definitely something strange going on.
Any specific setting in the pioneer radio that you may have overlooked?

I’ve tried all the camera settings, changing from PAL to NEC, Auto, etc. Same issue. Be nice if I could assign the second camera as backup, but that’s not an option on pioneer, can’t even switch cameras when in reverse.

That’s just weird. I don’t understand why the factory camera would not work with the radio. You have the proper harnesses.
I would try that metra axxess harness and see. If it still doesn’t work. Maybe it’s the radio itself.
