Was thinking it would be a good Idea to have one handy just in case. Anyone carry one in their truck and if so where do you keep it? I have the ESP plastic storage under the rear seats but I don't think it is deep or big enough to hold one.

i keep one in my truck, i couldn't find a good mounting spot. so i just tucked it behind the left rear seat. it doesn't rattle and the rear seat goes up and down fine.

Ideally you want it outside the truck. If the fire is in the cab, last thing you want to do is flounder around inside. You can use the rails and t slot nuts to mount a QD mount. Poly performance sells the QD mount made by synergy.

Would be cool if manufactures actually installed them from the factory.
I'd want mine mounted in the bed near the tailgate if I could

There's an extinguisher in a can that works well. Aptly named Tundra.

I got one mounted in the bed via the bed rails.
I may have a picture somewhere of it.

If not, I'll snap a photo tonight when I get home and post it up for reference if you'd like.

I'm thinking of bolting one to the inside of the bed by the tail light on the drivers side. Anyone done something like this? Also wanting to get some bed rails soon, so may look into that option as well.

I keep one in my tool box. Just make sure it's serviced every year or at least check the gauge last thing you want is a fire extinguisher that doesn't work.

I wonder if that would fit under my bed cover. Are those straps rubber or hard plastic? @Krezz although where I would want to put it is behind one of the taillights. So those straps would work no matter what if I did that. Nice set up.

I have one mounted next to the driver's seat. It fits well and further stabilized by a single bungie cord. No rattle, and it takes a couple of seconds to take it out if I ever need it.

2"CB shackles, bushings and 1 shim, lockerdown console vault, rear folding seat back mod, snugtop shell with opening side windows, 46g fuel tank, SDHQ sliders and hidden winch, Decked Drawers, Alcan leaf springs and got rid of the interior chrome
Good advice about being in the bed (not the cab) and easily accessible. Regardless, mine is strapped into the factory location behind the rear seat where the useless little jack was that came with the truck. Access isn't too bad with the rear seat fold down mod.

I picked up a Max Out 2.5 today at work just because I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I'm mounting mine behind the console on the floor tomorrow. I personally feel safer with it inside the cab in case of a roll over with a potential fire threat or needing to battle a fire from inside the cab of the truck

That's a good spot. I always thought, need to hide it, but better out in the open. Especially since almost no one ever sits in middle seat.

Here's mine, mounted to the passenger seat bolts. It's easy to reach/remove and out of the way for passengers.54aab84bb65ddfabea025326aed94f68_c538ad281e9181a16803adab50699e8946da050e.jpg

What bracket is that? I had almost the exact same setup in my Subaru and loved it. Tundra would be more of a stretch to reach it, but I liked that it was conveniently located and out of the way.

It's called The Bracketeer, got it on Amazon. It didn't fit right at first but the seller/designer reached out to me even before I contacted him. He sent me the pieces I needed at no charge. Awesome customer service and really nice guy!

Thanks for the heads up. I think this is the route I'll probably go! Might also mount one in the bed still as well though, just for good measure.

    She's in pretty tight.
I realize I can only pull and grab is so tighly but reefing on it hasn't caused it to move yet.

Always check it before each drive as well, just to be safe... also to make sure it's still there! lol

I mounted mine onto the wheel well of the bed for easy access offroad. It's rare I ever have anything on top of that area when the bed is loaded with gear.

That would be a great way to go. I know a lot of people who use mounts like that in their sports call. Nicely done!
