I need to wire a device into the Tundra. The wiring bundle I have has an inline fuse so instead of trying something like an add-a-fuse I was wondering if I could simply tap into an existing wire to get power. I need an existing wire that only has power when the key is in the On position. The picture below shows the wire bundles near the parking brake I'd like to tap. The ground wire connection is obvious (just off the top of the picture near the top-left corner). But does anyone know which of the many wires in the picture would give me power when the key is in the On position?

I have all of the EWD documents someone posted on this site but I don't know how to find what I need in all of those massive PDFs.

I figured it out. I was able to tap into the power window wire and everything is working.

I started with the "2021 Tundra EWD EM27M0U - 3.0 Location & Route.pdf" and eventually found a starting point under the "Instrument Panel -> Wire-Wire Floor Shift" diagram. Based on that diagram I narrowed down the connectors from the picture I posted above. That left me with several candidates: PJ1, NJ1, PN1, NJ3, PJ2, and NJ2.

With that I looked at "2021-tundra-ewd-em27m0u-6-3-connector-data-j-oq-pdf.531528.pdf" for the N* connectors and "2021-tundra-ewd-em27m0u-6-4-connector-data-p-zz-lowercase-pdf.531535.pdf" for the P* connectors. Those showed me which were the white and which were the blue connectors and the number of pins on each. It also shows which system goes through the connector. I happen to be looking at the details of the NJ3 connector when I saw that one of the systems listed is "Power Window". Since I know that the windows only work when the key is in the On position it was a good candidate.

So then I went to the "2021 Tundra EWD EM27M0U - 2.0 System Circuit_2018-21.pdf" document and scanned the table of contents. After a bit I found the "Body -> Power Window" entry. Clicking on that showed a wiring diagram. And there in the diagram is a connector labeled NJ3 and it indicates that a pink wire in pin 1 comes from the door fuse and goes to the window. Just what I need.

Looking back at the jumble of wires as shown in my earlier picture I only saw 2 pink wires, both in one connector so that must be NJ3. Looking back at "2021-tundra-ewd-em27m0u-6-3-connector-data-j-oq-pdf.531528.pdf" and the diagram for the NJ3 connector I could tell pin 1 was in a corner. Looking in the truck at the actual wires and connector only one of the two pink wires was in a corner. Bingo - I found the power window wire.

I tapped my device's positive wire to that pink wire, connected my device's negative wire to the nearby ground screw, turned the key to On and voilá! It was working.
