Just put mine on yesterday. Can't comment on longevity yet but they look good. I also swapped the back up bulbs to LED from LASFIT.20210831_193441.jpg 20210831_193434.jpg

It is. Got it off of CARID. Showed up a few days after the order was placed.

Looks great. How they holding up?

Also what reverse bulb to you use/model number etc.

I was looking at these on Amazon and they have several company’s making them so I’m on the fence which to choose. Wolfstorm seems to have the best reviews

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
I went with the red lens but on your truck it looks like smoked lens looks sweet! I went with MAXGTRS on my reverse bulbs. They have leds all the way around and on the ends.

    Normagene,

Attached is where I bought my Winjet’s on Amazon. The Winjet store. Also clear and red lens is a tad cheaper than the smoke lens.

    Ok thanks
So you got the smoked above, very nice. I like the blackout look. Already ordered all my exterior badge blackout overlays and today FedX delivered my OE Style Fender Flares! 30917-02

And I have at least 2+ wks before my truck lands… Plenty of time to order more mods!

Good choice on the flairs, worth the extra money. Don't forget the Anti-Scratch tape for underneath the flairs.

Anti scratch tape…hmm, not familiar with that, and not sure it’s in the box I got today. I’ll open it up Friday and just look everything over. Can’t wait to do a dry fit and taping them temporarily in place so I can stand back and see how the truck looks with them black. I’m thinking I’ll most likely paint them cement to match.

The led bulbs for the reverse lights are L-7443 from LASFIT. They are nice and bright.

I really dig the look of the smoked on the MGM. The sequential turn signal is sweet. It's cool how much it changes the overall look of the rear of the truck.

Luckily, mine had the fender flares already installed. I looked into them for my dad, and I couldn't believe the price tag.

I just ordered a set, same as yours, and once my truck arrives I still have to take it/them to a paint shop so easily another 4-$500 so definitely not cheap.

But I love that look, very classy. Somebody here in the Lunar Rock thread posted a picture of their LR Pro with them color matched and Wow…Best looking Pro I’ve seen yet.

So, most of these aftermarket tail light / headlight manufacturers have QC issues. If you want to go with any, you have to expect that there may be issues you have to deal with, or accept variances.

I’ve done this on three different Tundras so far:

On my 2011 Tundra, I went with Spyder headlights and taillights. The headlights lasted maybe a year or so before the tint started peeling. I eventually put the OEM ones back on, then replaced those with another brand from Amazon. The taillights are still going strong after a decade. Not a great pic, but it’s the first one I came across. Don’t have any pics of the headlights:

    5A9B43FC-701F-42B6-B624-DBEFE89031D9.jpg

On my 2017 Tundra, I once again tried Spyder headlights. Same thing happened, and I eventually replaced them with OEM TRD Pro lights.
On the taillights, I tried Winjet first. One of them didn’t fit well at all. I returned those and got a knock off version from Autosaver. Those fit well and have been working great for about four years now:

    C48CF497-9E4F-4D41-ABF4-D56A8B090DC2.jpg

Now to the current situation (2021 Tundra). Since I had better luck with the knock off last time, I went with Wolfstorm this time. The wiring and such seemed very cheaply done on the backside. I went ahead and installed them. They fit ok, but the drivers side didn’t work at all. I did the Amazon return, but chose a replacement just to see how it went.

In the meantime, I also ordered a set of the actual Winjet Renegades so I could compare them. This time, the Winjet was better. Seemed to be more solidly made, and both worked perfectly. There is a slight gap on the passengers side though. (It isn’t bad, just not perfect ) I’ll be pulling it off soon to see if I can adjust it. If not, I’ll probably request a replacement.

I made a gif of the signal. It appears to stutter a little, but it doesn’t. The gif just makes it seem that way. It looks great and works very smoothly.

All this to say that some variance or qc problems are going to happen with these kind of items (unless you spend a ton). That said, I’ve had good luck overall. I’ve just had to deal with it taking a couple of tries to get a good set. Beyond expense, I think these just look a lot better than the other aftermarket options. Taillights are super easy to change out, so not a big deal to re-do it if necessary. The headlights are more of a pain, but still not awful.

At the moment, I still have the defective Wolfstorms, along with the replacement set I haven’t opened yet. If I remember, I’ll try to get pics of both brands side by side before I send them back.

I’d recommend sticking with the actual Winjet this time around. The quality was better, and they’re actually an established company should warranty issues arise. If I hadn’t bought the Wolfstorms through Amazon I’d probably be SOL. (Wolfstorm actually sent me an email asking me to review the product on Amazon. Very broken English for what that’s worth.)

So I put in winjet renagade tail lights in March2022. This morning I noticed the left tail light was loose. After checking both sides any where there is pressure from bolting them in or the pins on the side they have cracked or basically breaking down in pieces. So I put my old lights back in. Inferior plastic as even a inside seam is cracked. I bought them from carid, doubt they will warranty them. We will see Monday.

Installed Winjet Renegades in Sept 21. Noticed water in drivers side tail light in Sept 22. Winjet warranty is 12 months. I was looking for an excuse to switch to Luxx tail lights anyway but still. Will email Winjet to see if they will honor a replacement even though warranty is technically up.

Hopefully CarId will help you out.
The ones I bought back in August of 2021 from Amazon via WinJet still work flawless.
Even though I sold my truck in July of this year I still see my old truck often because my friend bought it.

    Hopefully it all works out.
