My 06 tundra started over heating few days ago, the temp gauge only spikes when i stop for more than a minute or so. It seems to be pushing coolant back into the overflow tank which causes the fluid to bubble as well. Please help

Idk, i've considered that...i heard u can put it in a bucket of hot water to see if it opens up. So i think i might try that. What else you think it could be?

Most likely thermostat if it isn't a radiator or hose leak.

I wouldn't suspect the thermostat, but it could be the fan clutch. If the thermostat won't open, it would happen at all speeds. A problem with the fan clutch will show up when stopped since that's when there's no air across the radiator. Check youtube for ways to check the fan clutch.

Most likely cause-thermostat. They generally run about 15-30$$. Should be an easy swap. Have a bucket and extra rad fluid.

Most likely: fan clutch or low fluid level.

Less likely: water pump or belt

Least likely but possible: clog in radiator, debris in front of radiator, thermostat

This, if ya have a lot of miles, infrequent antifreeze changes and hard water they get clogged. The only way to repair them is get a new one or have it routed out or a new core put in.
