She's paid off folks! I bought my 11' DC SR5 in early November last year. I bought it for $19k and financed $9k. Two weeks ago I drove to the bank an hour away and gave them the last $7500 and change to pay the truck off. I got my title in the mail Thursday. It's nice to have no car payment again. Makes paying for gas a little easier now.

How much longer does everybody else have?

Great job at getting the truck paid off. Time to start saving for your next one and keep this cycle going.

Since we can't start any fundraising for me, I'll just take the winning lottery numbers and pay everyone's Tundra off and the extra $ we can buy fuel for @Bob 's jet.:rofl::rofl:

I got serious about zero debt several years back. We paid off everything but a few medical bills and for a while, I only had a work vehicle to use. I finally got the truck and knowing I had a payment coming was KILLING me. So we sold the house last month and paid off the truck. Now, the medical bills will be gone by the end of next month. Then, nothing but rent, power, food and electric.

Renting a living space always bothered me much more in the past than it does right now. Watching the lumber prices drop now and we'll figure out build/buy and where to land next July in the meantime.

Paid cash for mine. Didn’t want a 5-6yr car note. First time I’ve ever been able to do that. It felt really good!

Zero as well. Only paid mine off about 8 months early over the 5 year loan. But she soaked up a bunch of inequity on my previous trade and I was amazed how quickly I went from upside down to right side up.

It’s crazy to see how many Toyota owners have theirs paid off. Maybe it’s just my opinion, but I think the domestics have more people in loans due to being upside down after the first year of depreciation.

Yup - problem is the vehicle doesn’t remain reliable for the duration of the note so people roll negative equity time after time and end up in a Ford Fiesta with a $600/month payment.

Domestics have people upside down because a 5 year old big 3 truck is still selling for good money but is going to need a lot of work to keep on the road. A 5 year old Toyota is just getting broken in.

Bought my Tundra new in March 2020, paid it off two months ago. My wife and I are both retired, and it's great to have zero debt, nothing but living expenses and whatever we choose to spend money on. No payments!
